The more and more I think about interstellar distance, the more I'm convinced the only way we'll be able to explore other planets over vast distances is if the human race figures out how to mathamatically fold space, finds stable wormholes, or learns how to harness the power of quantum singularities/black holes.

What I'm not betting on the human race discovering?  Some sort of star gate here on Earth that can zap us to other worlds.
