I loved this chapter because it really helped me visualize how these two embody 'irresistible force meets immovable object.' I see Spock as rock (it rhymes:) and McCoy as the wind that eventually changes the rock - it may take a millennia, but the wind is constant in it's attentions and never goes away . . . this 'wind' can definitely out stubborn this particular 'rock.'

Sorry for the break, I had to go and check on M-I-L and make sure she hasn't' been putting bacon away in her underwear drawers. Do you think I should send him to his room? *snort* I may talk tough, but Matt knows what a marshmallow I am. If I haven't heard anything from him after a couple of weeks, I start worrying that he's gotten kidnapped, blown up or something equally horrendous.

If you haven't heard from him in a few weeks, you can always poke me and I'll see what I can shake loose. It's pretty much the only reason he keeps me around, I don't have the designation of 'family' (not sure if this is lucky or not).

Clearly I mean your mother Matt. I think if I meant your sister I'd be referring to that incest song I saw once on youtube. Which was brilliantly funny, by the by.

I'm not sure what M-I-L is but bacon in underwear drawers is an idea I may have to take up. And as for the bribery, I wish you luck. He never responds to my bribes, though that might be 1: because they're shit and 2: because I'm usually the one giving him bad ideas with regards to fic.
