I am home sick, so here are some odds and ends
Journal: Thanks for all your comments and suggestions. Unfortunately I made a rash change just before leaving the computer for about fourteen hours, so most of you saw a very broken version. Hopefully things are back to normal now.
The Frames: Bad idea to make the very first words to the very first song on the very first album I listen to the same as the opening line of one of my favourite songs off one of my favourite albums by my favourite group ever. I am just saying. Otherwise, yeah, I could listen to this again (and am, in fact, doing so right now). Reminiscent of Elbow and Turin Brakes.
The Important Part: L's show is on at NASDA this week, Tuesday to Saturday. I'm going on at least Wednesday, and am looking for people to accompany me. If you can't make it Wednesday, it's double-cast, so check with me if you want to know when L will be doing her goddess thing. Oh yeah, the show is Once on this Island, a musical about supernaturally-assisted class struggle in the French Antilles. Which sounds weird, but the music is good.
Also in musicals: Did the first full run of Urinetown last night, which was lots of fun.
Now I will go and continue feeling sorry for myself.
