So, a while ago I made
this site, on kind of a low budget, and knowing full well they'd use the basic product management system I cobbled together to drive my design into the ground (
exhibit A).
But!
Imagine my surprise when, driving across town to the hairdresser, I discovered their physical store on the corner of Wairakei and Greers Roads, prominently displaying the half-arsed livery I cobbled together as quickly as possible because it was essentially scope creep.
Fortunately, I had the presence of mind to do everything in Illustrator, not because I knew that one day it would be emblazoned on massive signs on the side of a big building my mother drives past every day on her way to work, but because I am anal retentive.
It makes me feel all kind of glowy.
The moral: kids, in this business, nothing is not worth doing like it's going to stick around for ages and be seen by thousands of people.
