Life handed us a paycheck: we said "hey! we worked harder than this!"
The Madcaps on Friday were, I think it's safe to say, pretty much a shambles. My MCing was terrible, the organisation was appalling, and the behaviour of the law students downright ugly. (From memory, they started booing the recipients around about the Best Supportings, when it became clear Law Revue wasn't going to win anything else.) Still, I got to dress up like this:
A pity there were only two other people in the room who had any idea who I was. I grew the moustache and everything!
Courting Temptation won six awards, which was excellent for such a disappointingly-attended show. But then, the awards themselves suffered from a pretty poor turnout, so maybe that's some kind of general trend.
Yesterday I did several things that were fun: went to brunch (yummy), 'rehearsed' a short film (aargh improvising on camera), performed in a short piece of avant-garde theatre as a surprise for domssecondbfast's birthday (delightful), went and saw Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (hilarious!) and sang some karaoke (unsurprising!).
Today I am trying to find the bastard who stole an hour off me while I was asleep. Word is, he hit pretty much everyone.
