Hello again everyone.
Well, yesterday we went to All-County rehearsal at Bandys. It was…interesting. I rode with Tasha and Keesha Townsend, and Carol Ann. We had a blast on the way up there! We were being such dorks. Once we got there, we were already like 20 minutes later, but you couldn’t tell because by the time we got into the chorus room, there were less people already in there than we had in our group. So, first of all, we split up for sectionals - guys in one room, sopranos in another, and altos in another. We really didn’t have that many guys. All of the basses, except for one, were from our school. All of the tenors, except one, was from our school also. There was this one tenor, and I’m almost positive he was gay, that sang like a woman. No joke! It was freaky. I mean, there’s having a high voice, and then there’s having a woman’s voice, and believe me, he had a woman’s voice. When the lady leading it first got the tenors to sing by themselves, I heard this strong lady’s voice and I looked up to see if the conductor lady was singing and her mouth wasn’t even open! I’m like, “What the crap!?” Then I caught on to that it was that one guy and I looked over at Chris and Muamong and we all had the same thing running through our head. It was really funny. But yeah, that lasted til like 5:50 and then on the way home, we stopped by Jack in the Box to get something to eat and my mom got really pissed because I didn’t tell her we were stopping and I ended up getting home like and hour and a half late. Oh well. She got over it.
This afternoon, Carol Ann offered to take me home because her mom wasn’t driving the bus this afternoon. And so I decided to and it turns out, her mom was driving…ok this is going to sound confusing but…it was her grandpa’s girlfriend’s NEW Thunderbird - black with black leather interior. It was SWEET! There was only one problem - it was a two seater and we had three people. So what we did was, Carol Ann’s mom drove, she sat in the passenger’s seat, and I sat in the back (even though there wasn’t one) on this little stump, high about them. It looked like I was in a parade. But it was so awesome!
Sunday morning, I sing in church! I’m really nervous because this is only my second time singing in church by myself and I’ve never sang on a Sunday morning. Also, it’s going to be on TV the next Sunday so, if you want to see me make a fool outta myself, tune in to Channel 10 at 8:00 am on Sunday, October 31st morning.
I have this book, My Forbidden Face, due in English on Thursday and I’m only on page 100 and there’s 200 pgs. Now this wouldn’t be so bad if all we had to do was just read it, but we have to do a freakin reading journal on it. We have to write down all the characters as we read, all the places, and all this crap. It’s taking double the time to read it that it normally would because I have to stop every couple of pages and write stuff down. Oh well.
Well, I guess I better get off here and read some more! Nice blabbin to all yall tonite! I’ll hopefully update it some other time before Friday, so all yall have a good week!
