I... am... exhausted. And yet, I update.
Today was a basic day. We had a soccer game tonight, we lost but it was in over time, and against the team that won the championship last year. So thats something to say I guess. In other news Ill be seeing Katie this weekend! Its crazy how excited I am. Unfortunately it will be a short visit, but its better than waiting 'till christmas, which she now has a ticket to come up to good old New Hartford. And that reminds me about being excited to go home for Thanksgiving. Not only will it be quality time with alot of my family, but good time with all my friends who I really cant wait to hang out with again.
In other news, last night was the 311 concert here. It was really awesome. I was working security for it so I got a free ticket and I got to stand right up front with the huge real security guys (they were pretty cool). We got to see alot of the pre-show preduction stuff too.
The band that opened was pretty horrible. They reminded me of like the worst version of Cyprus Hill, ever. It was just a guitar, a bass, a gigantic drummer, and then two guys who rapped. One was dressed ghetto with camo shirt and cap and aviators while the other guy had an American Eagle or some such jacket and tight jeans, kinda funny but pretty bad.
Once 311 came in it got packed. Understandably too. They were so good. They played all their big songs except one, Love Song, but thats not really a concert song. They did alot of stuff I hadnt heard before either. A few people got busted for pot and there was plenty of crowd surfing. Especially when 311 played a big song or did something to pump up the crowd. One really sweet thing was to walk off the stage during "Applied Science" for a sweet drum solo with light up drums, only to come back on and the stage to be lit up and show big drums along the front of the stage. Then they had a sweet jam session which had such good bass.
At the end they came back on for an encore and played "Whos got the Urge?" and then "Feels So Good" which was such an awesome way to end the concert. It was so good. Not as good as the warped tour, but definitely the second best Ive been to.
