My first day of the swim meet went pretty well I guess. I went my best time in the 200 IM. My whole sense of time is strewn though. It’s about 12 am here in Texas, and about 8 pm back in Hawaii. The flight went decently well, though I wish that I could have had/received more sleep that I actually did. I got scrunched between Kurt and Mia (who leaned her chair all the way back) and Kurt put his legs on the back of my chair. I even got stuck next to Alyana, who kept moving around like crazy. For the plane ride, all I did was play video games and watch Sea Biscuit. While at the swim meet, I am dead tired, like I could sleep the whole time. While back here at the hotel, I feel like I could stay awake all day. I’m working on my ethnic studies paper, so far only having 2 pages done out of 5. My nose is only stuffed on one side, which really sucks cause the other side is clear, and dries out and cracks because of the dry skin. Also the stuffed side keeps leaking snot, so I have a semi stuffed and runny nose. I’m inconsistent in my sleep hours, and wonder how is it that I am so tired for the day, and awake at night. This stinks, but it would be better if I was out partying or clubbing. The good news is that I dropped time, and now have a kleezix stuffed in my left nostril to help stop the running. I’m listening to Puff Daddy’s Satisfy you. Good song by the way. Let’s see, out of all the girls that I’ve met from Hawaii, they all have had/is having problems with past relationships. It seems that Hawaii guys are pretty rude, and are just like mainland guys. Lots of them have trust problems, and therefore I get the doubtful side of them when I meet them. Typing in the dark on a laptop computer is definitely different than typing on a full size computer keyboard (I’m looking forward to that when I get home). Back to the swimming here, my room mate is pretty cool guy. Nick Cabebe, cool name and cool guy. He has a gf back home, and we get along pretty well. He’s a sprinter born and raised in Hawaii, so he’s a local guy. Be right back, going down the hall to blow my nose. Okay, so I go down the hall to the stair case, while in there, I guess I blew my nose pretty hard, and some buzzer went off, of course I stood there like a scarecrow, but the alarm or whatever turn off after what seemed like 30 seconds. Oh well, should be anything. At first I thought it was a fire alarm, but then people would be coming out. So it’s 12:18 right now, and I’m still going, and not feeling tired, though it is hard to focus on something so bright. I have to get up in about 7 hours. Listening to Jay-Z Nigga What. Using Nate’s laptop makes me wish that I would have bought one of these instead of a desktop. People w/ laptops have cleaner rooms, and more room for that matter. I got my class schedule for next semester too, I’m taking anthropology 152, english 100, ics 111, psychology 100, kls 297 (required). I’ve got a cough now too, so this really bites. Listening to All American Rejects - swing, swing. I am worried about my ethnic studies paper though, cause it’s going to be really hard to get a full 5 pages. I have very little to no sources, and I have till Tuesday to write the paper (really Thursday, but that means I would have to go to class, where as if I turn it in on Tuesday then I don’t have to go to class at all for the rest of the semester). I wish that Nate had more games on his computer. My nose is starting to run again, and I think that I am going to go to sleep now, because I am feeling tired, and I know that I am going to need all the sleep I can for tomorrow. I really hope that I do well in the 100 breast, cause I want to see what I can go, I want to get into the top 3 in all of my events (excluding 400 IM, that doesn’t count :)). So my nose is stuffed now cause I blew out some of the snot. There must be a giant boger in my upper nose that is producing smaller snots, but still clogs the upper nose area where the diameter is smaller. Stupid boger. My stinking skin under my nose is starting to crack because of both cold weather and wiping my nose so much. I am really nervous about tomorrow. To me, this meet is faster than sectionals or any of the other meets that I’ve gone to. Division I swimming has a lot of fast swimmers, these are only a few of them too, there are more schools out there that have just as fast/if not faster swimmers. Oh, I bought two new practice suits too, that I badly need, cause my other two have been completely destroyed by the chlorine. So I am out listening to “get low” by somebody that I can’t remember w/ a runny nose.
