Gruvis Malt. need i say more? they were so incredibly indescribably amazing last night (well actually this morning cause they didn't get on til late). I'm so glad that i went with Joe, Jared, Kate, Risa, Adam, John, and Aaron to the show. Lupo's is such a great place to see a show. It has such a great atmosphere, so relaxed and chill with tables and chairs and neo geo games and pool tables and such. not too many people there last night. i mean there were plenty of people, just not really crowded and pushing shoving. Spuge Poobah or whatever they were called were so good. The bassist was all over the place, playing the most beautiful bass i have ever seen (some kind of Warwick fretless five string). Just some really amazing wonderful sounds. Then came some stupid rap guys who really didn't do it for me. They were all about the tough guy rapper image that i hate so so much, talking about nothing in particular with some pretty dry beats and were way too impressed and amused with their own stupid stage names. Then came some really weird and funny guys in a band called Paranoid Social Club. They came out dressed as police officers with flashlights peering into the audience and throwing cds (one almost took my head off). They proceeded to rock out and talk about getting high and stuff, which was pretty funny coming from guys in uniform, even if they were only pretending. But nothing could compare to Gruvis Malt. Its impossible to describe them so i won't try. They were just awesome, especially when they played as a nine piece with a violin, cello, and bari sax. Their set didn't start til around midnight and didn't finish til 1:15 or so but i didn't feel tired at all. i was in a trance the whole time. Unfortunately they sold out of the new cd cause they couldn't get the two hundred they were promised. Such is life, i'll just have to wait til April 9th. Speaking of APRIL 9TH, ANYONE WANT TO PLAN ON HEADING TO NEWBURY COMICS THAT DAY TO PICK UP THE NEW GRUVIS? i crave that cd so badly right now. these few mp3s i have are just not enough. Oh yeah, i ran into Ben and Matt last night. good to see those guys last night. they both got down for Gruvis big time. hoping to be playing with Ben, Jay, Martin, and whoever on drums sometime really soon. My dad says he's found a car for me that is worth checking out. '94 Toyota Corolla, 5 speed manual. sounds good to me. anyways, i'm gonna get going now cause its late and 5:30 comes really quickly. Farewell.
