there's a deep muscle bruise (or something like that) above my pelvis, where i landed on all the stuff (water, food, tool) that was in my rear jersey pockets when i flipped over my bike in the Battenkill crash. a standing start for a time trial requires a lot of core strength, the oomph of which rendered me painful when i climbed off the bike. it was okay as long as i didn't ask my lower back to support my torso or legs, which meant that riding was okay, but standing and sitting was very painful.
