Went to the
TERROR OF TALLAHASSEE haunted house last night with Marie and Paris, which was a blast. Much of it was spent with us running aimlessly in panic as crazy things jumped out at us. At one point, a vampire hunter had his face all melted off by acid, which was fun. And apparently I was cracking people up by my random exclamations like "Oh my God, it's a big mummy!" At the end, Marie and Paris and I somehow found ourselves completely alone and lost in a crazy maze in which scary people slammed sledgehammers on the wall and chased us and said "WHAT'S THE BOY'S NAAAAAME?!" So Marie, naturally, was like, "Mattheeeew!" And then we played "Follow the Leader" with them and they led us outside and told me they liked me. Sheesh.
Then we joined up with Jenni and Melissa to go see Murderball, which was an amazing movie. Such a nice change after the last few horrible movies I've seen (namely Elizabethtown, Shopgirl, and Flightplan).
I have my Encyclopedia Brown costume all together and ready for Saturday and Monday. This weekend is going to be so effing fun. We've all decided to ignore that we're far too old and go trick-or-treating anyway because candy = yay. Apparently, there's a good neighborhood for it here. Good stuff.
Holy smokes. I woke up yesterday morning and went to feed my fish Yoko and Krum, and then I noticed something peculiar. "Where's Krum?" I pondered. A closer inspection of the aquarium revealed Krum's mangled, discolored corpse attached to the bottom of the filter. It was horrible and scarring. Then after I flushed him down in a touching memorial, Yoko swam merrily about her tank, performing intricate loop-de-loops. I honestly think she murdered him, and John before him. Maybe she's racist, they were both Black Mollies after all. Dumb ho.
I finally sent my pet pilot script I've been working on since the beginning of the summer, Strawberry Fields Forever, to my manager. And now I wait to see whether or not he's going to even give it the time of day. Eek.
Oh, I forgot to post the rest of my ratings for the Lost episodes after I finished catching up.

Overall, the show got a lot better towards the end of the first season. The second season is off to a pretty good start. But the show itself just has lazy writing sometimes, and sometimes seems to be trying to be too strange for its own good. But I'm glad I gave the show a second chance.
