I can't believe this shit. I skipped Creative Writing class last Friday because I had a test in the class right after it and I needed to study, then I skipped Monday because I was too out of it the night before to read and respond to the short story we were given. Yesterday we got an email from my professor reminding us that attendance is mandatory and that if we miss 6 classes we fail. So I was all ready to get in gear. I read and responded to the short story we were given, set my cell phone's alarm clock, went to sleep... and woke up at 12:20 PM, over an hour after the class let out. I have no idea what happened. I think I was in a coma because my alarm was still set and working fine when I woke up, and apparently my roommate's alarm had gone off at 4:30 AM, when he had woken up and written a paper at his computer which is INCHES FROM MY FACE, and I didn't wake up at all. He said I was tossing and turning. I don't know what the deal is.
I seriously need to get in gear with this school thing, and I'm so pissed because I was planning to go to class today. But yeah, yesterday I completely tanked on my Anthropology exam. It's the hardest class I've ever had, and I could have just as easily taken a really simple shitty science class.
I have a short story due in Creative Writing this coming Monday, and I have an idea for a story but I'm not sure if I like it. Grr.
Anyway, I went to see Howl's Moving Castle, which was lovely and included such brilliant lines as "I'm the missing prince from the neighboring kingdom!" and "Sophie, your hair is like starlight!" It had some nifty animation, but Spirited Away is better. It probably beats Kiki's Delivery Service though, haha.
Marie and I are addicted to making our own elitist
Facebook groups. So far we have: Harriet the Spy's Homies, Sleepaway Camp Ethusiasts, and Nancy Drew Is Good For You. Facebook > MySpace.
I'm so ready to go home this weekend. Even the drive isn't going to bother me. It is, though, going to be my first time going home since before Hurricane Katrina, so that part is going to be less than fun. It's going to be weird and hard to see everything destroyed by the storm. But hopefully everything will turn out okay and I'll get to hang out with some lovely people and catch up on old times.
