edit: omg, kill me now: jackie chan and jet li's new movie. what. the. fuck. wtf?!?! you so can't do a chinese fighting movie and speak english! that's so weird!!! just because you CAN speak english, doesn't mean you SHOULD! oh goodness, what the hell, i'm horrified!! and i thought that jet li said he wasn't going to do anymore martial arts movies or whatever!
ugh! these newer martial arts movies are so BAD, these new special effects just ruin things!!! i'm completely old school in this account, the older stuff looked so much more REALISTIC, you know? (well, as realistic as anyone can look running up and down walls and engaging in gravity/logic defying feats of strength...;P)but it'll probably do well in the box office, these western releases types always do, but still! conversation's going to be so stilted! it's going to be super painful to watch!
...that being said i'm still totally going to go see it with an extra big bucket of popcorn, but still! there should be standards! i just feel that the majority of the olden day martial arts movies that are actually worth seeing aren't being properly showcased, i mean "crouching tiger, hidden dragon"? crap, absolute crap (could the fighting scenes have looked any more FAKE?!?!). the only reason why it did so well in the west is because most people hadn't seen anything of the sort so everyone thought it was a brilliant example of what asian culture has to offer; well it's NOT!!! THERE ARE BETTER ONES OUT THERE, REALLY!!!
*climbs down from soap-box* anyways, i really don't have such a negative view on the movie, i was just kind of taken aback when i saw the trailer and am still in wtf-mode, i'm sure it'll be fun! ^_____^
