I'm watching "Top 100 Songs of the '00's" and I'm going to link to an entry from back then. Right here, in fact. lol That was a fun day! I think about Anne a lot, and hope she's okay. She is another friend from here who just drifted away.
Another LJ friend of mine passed away from cancer last week. :( It's strange, but the day she died I was dusting and admiring some of the cute tzotchkes she made me when we met at a convention in '05 or something, thinking about her, hoping she was doing okay. Her son posted on her journal to let her LJ friends know she'd passed and I felt so awful when I saw that she had posted about her struggles over the past year, when I spent little to no time on here. I would have appreciated a few words of hope and encouragement if I had been fighting that battle.
I am a completely shitty friend.
I was glad to read that she passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends. I have her pretty things on display in my room and I'll always remember how sweet and kind she was when I see them. RIP, Dee.
It's really cold and rainy outside today and Betty keeps looking up at me with her sad brown eyes like "Well? You can stop this, right? WHY WON'T YOU STOP IT??" Sorry, kiddo! We need the rain. Poor Betty! She loves to sleep outside in the sun all day and hates the rain and cold as much as I do. I think she was a SoCal girl in her last life.
