Drive-by Camera Nerding...
...I got a new camera yesterday!
It's a Canon 5D mark II with the kit lens. It's my first camera body update since getting a digital SLR back in 2003 - spent a fair penny on nice glass (lenses) in the meantime, so I've got a decent lineup now.
For the camera dorks: it's a full-frame camera with fantastic low-ligher performance and the (insano) ability to shoot full-HD video, should you feel in the mood.
For the non-camera dorks: big shiny camera that makes absurdly huge photographs and videos, and most importantly can do proper wideangle more easily. Whee!
Other than that, I'm on call, so working nights, so have more or less managed to figure out how to operate the device, but have yet to use it properly. Am also waiting for new memory cards, as the 2 gig card that's in there will fit a mere 50-60 images.
