Post1, warning Sappy

So I helped move the office this weekend. Other than the copious amounts of work and time I was OK until Sunday. I was the one to get the last load from the old office, and lock the door. It was very strange looking at this place that I have gone to at least 5 days a week for 8 years. Just that thought that I have been working and living in one place for 8 years is a shock. Especially since before this the longest I had been in one place was 4 years (and I changed schools during that time. So it was defiantly sad. But I took my piece of it with me.

The lesson of the weekend is when changing phone systems a) always set it up and test if before doing the switch over. b) make sure the phone company, installing vendor, and your boss all agree on a system before it is installed.
I learned this the hard way after 22 hours of working on two different ********* phone systems and it is still in need of work but at least I can make AND receive calls to the outside world. Customers appreciate that.

The good news I think I finally showed my boss, not only what I do in the office but how much I am capable of doing and managing if I am given the resources to do so.
