Hey everyone, PlayerRac2 here, with a brand new story which one of my amazing friends Vesna came up with and since then we both brainstormed :) This is just a little of what we have planned so let us know what you think :)
Chapter 1
A sad goodbye, a new hello…
Life. Never turns out the way you plan right? Looking back… I wouldn’t change a thing. Through heartbreak and pain, laughter and happiness…I have the best family in the world, either of them…
“No Jessie, I won’t be able to call you for at least 9 hours… Well that’s how long the flight will last… No I can’t stay behind… You KNOW why…. I’ll miss you to.” I was rushing about shoving bits and pieces into my cases, I was rushing so much I nearly dropped my mobile that was resting under my cheek, saying goodbye to my best friend. I didn’t really have anything of value, just clothes, a few odd things I carried, such as a piece of Topaz, my birthstone, a few teddies friends gave me, and a few photos, one of my mother, and one of me and my dad. He raised me all on his own, my mother died giving birth to me… I sat on my bed and just looked at them, happy. What if I had never been born? “Kate? You ready to go girl?” My dad stood in the doorway, all his kit packed, he looked sad to see me go, and I was sad to leave. Dad didn’t have a choice though. He was in the Military, and he was called upon, so I was being sent to my Aunt’s house….all the way in Texas.
The ride to the airport was quiet, neither of us really knew what to say. I didn’t want to go, and as far as I could tell, he didn’t want to leave me either, we were close. We were all each other had. I didn’t know if I could cope without him, he was always my rock, and I wasn’t exactly the happiest person, nor did I have the best childhood. I remember that day well, it was raining, and windy, I rested my head against the cold window and shut my eyes, hoping I would wake from my nightmare….I wish. “Kate Matthews….We need to talk.” Great. He used my full name, it must be important, I couldn’t speak only look at him and nod.
“Look kiddo, I know it seems bad, and I know you and your aunt don’t get on the best…” You’re telling me. I disliked her greatly, always treating me like a 5 year old, just because my mother couldn’t. “But…She still agreed to take you in so I want you to be good for her until I get back…”
“If you get back…” I muttered under my breathe, but I think he heard, but was interrupted by a flash of lightning and then loud thunder. All to soon we arrived at the airport. The airline staff were far to happy for my liking as I gave her my passport, and she gave me my ticket and took my luggage. Now all I had to do was leave him.
“Bye Kiddo…” I saw a tear escape from his eyes, just as the time a single tear fell from mine, we both hardly cried, so this proved how hard it was for us. He hugged me, even picked me up, and I was your average 16 year old girl.
“I love you Daddy…please come back.” I didn’t care that people were staring at us…I just needed to hear the answer I wanted, no needed.
“….Goodbye Kate.” It was only after I boarded and took my seat, that I realised how he avoided the question. The flight seemed to drag on, I got a window seat, which was good, but the other passengers annoyed me no end. Small children, whiney couples and the snoring middle aged man behind me, why did I forget to charge my iPod?
9 hours later and I arrived….Texas, USA. I’d like to say I was happy, though I really wasn’t. I called Dad’s mobile from the airport saying I had landed, but it was turned off, he was probably at the base by now, but he agreed to call me that night. All I had to do now was go outside to my Aunt. Oh joy. I walked outside, to the bus stations, and caught a bus to the small town of Bridgedale, and yes it was exciting as it sounds. There I would wait. Half an hour later and my Aunt’s truck draws into view and out she steps with my cousin Alesha.
“Wow, Sweetie! You sure have grown!” I mentally groaned…this would be a long year. She scooped me up into a large hug, while my cousin stood awkwardly to the side, I think she understood my pain. “Well let’s get you settled in shall we, let’s go home..” When she says home, she means farm. Bluebell Farm. Yep. I’m living on a farm. Fun. As soon as she drew up I got out and took in the air...
“I am defiantly not in London anymore…” Trees surrounded the large farmhouse and there were field upon field of yellow on on side, on the other some plants of which I didn’t know, nor did I care. “Where’s my room?”
“Come on, I’ll show ya..” Alesha quickly grabbed my arm and shooed me away from her mother. “Sorry about that…you know how mothers can be….Whoops, sorry.” Sometimes I feel people do that deliberately.
“It’s fine.” I lied, “Am I sleeping with you?” Please say no, Please say no, Please?
“No of course not! This is yours…” She gestured, it was fairly big, perfect for me anyway, I slung my backpack of my shoulders and lay on the bed. “I'll leave you to settle in…”
I thanked her and she left closing the door behind her. I fished in my bag for my phone and got it out…2 bars. I texted Jessica Just arrived. Hate it. Boring and it smells. Really tired though, talk 2moz.. The last part was only half correct, I was tired, but I didn’t plan on sleeping, but exploring. I quietly sneaked out of the house with the least sound possible, I was rather stealthy and soon wondered into the woods. Yep, this is my life now…
I must have walked for nearly half an hour before realising this was it…. just tree after tree. I sighed and turned to make my way back when something caught the corner of my eye….was that a cat? Yeah I know, not very exciting but it was weird for around here…my Aunt was allergic to cats so it wasn't hers. “Here puss!” But it ran in the opposite direction, I chased until it went down a hole in a tree.
“Ok is my name Alice or something?” My sarcasm really didn't help right then. But I was adventeros and lets face it, the next year would be boring, so I followed the cat down the hole. Turns out the hole was some sort of tunnel and after i finally pushed my way through I was amazed. This place was beautiful! All I could see was sunshine, green fields full of flowers, and lots of animals. But not that cat. Where did it get to? I searched for a bit before realising it was long gone… but how do I get back? I wondered around for a bit…I think I saw that waterfall before… before something lept from a bush and knocked into me, making me land on my butt, how graceful.
“Hey watch it!” Where did that voice come from? All I could see was this fox that had jumped on me. This white fox with a blue tail, and big blue eyes…and a voice.
“Oh my god!” And then I fainted….
