this weekend i went to waco and the dr. pepper museum. The first floor was interesting and focused, if unsurprising: descriptions of the discovery and subsequent refining of the dr. pepper formula by a creepy animatronic, a history of the bottling process replete with the actual machines through the eras, and a small bevy of hilarious merchandising ( Read more... )

this weekend i also went to the olive garden and saw there will be blood. i did not, sadly, go to the dr. pepper museum, which has been on my to-do list for about a year now. i love me some motherfucking dr. pepper.

nah, i went with the minestrone. which was kind of blah. but the breadsticks were predictably salty-delicious and the salad crunchy, devoid of nutritional content, and sweet sweet sweet, and that's enough for me!

our salad was actually pretty green, but i'm sure it was canceled out by the dressing and cheese it was doused in.

tuscan garlic chicken.

it came with whole cloves of garlic on top, which was kind of gross/overkill.

Yeah that Tuscan Garlic Chicken would be awesome were it not for the whole cloves of garlic. Although picking through it and trying to separate them from things in the dish I actually wanted to eat was a fun little game for my otherwise boring break times.
