SEMESTER 2 First Post

In the first 2 weeks of this semester, I would have to say that Wilfred Owen’s Dulce Et Decorum Est, was the poem that resonated most with me.

Hi there Matt. Interesting that this poem struck you as profoundly as it did me, although obviously in different ways. I am guessing that you read my post and have seen how I interpreted and responded to the piece. Glad to see that you are my live journal AA, whatever that is? I liked what you said in my blog and yes I too am very much enjoying the fact that I am making all these connections with like minded spirits here at ACU. Not what I expected but I dont think I was really expecting anything. Its just great to find friends and really feel a part of the community. I have spent too much of my life as an outsider never really knowing how to fit in anywhere. Now that I dont even try and just attempt to be myself, everything is flowing so much easier. Hope to talk with you soon. Oh, and call me John. Its officially William but thats strictly on paper. I've always been John. And besides, all the best Rock songs are about Johnny.
