Sorry this is belated.

To one of the most special, although more quiet, women in my life;

I remember the first day you walked on set. You had this infectious giggle, this adorable dimpled smile, and this silent determination within you. Although you were a native new englander, and not all too familiar with the art of surfing, I remember your persistence and strength throughout each grueling day of shooting. I remember how you used to ask Sanoe for pointers in between takes, and how you would constantly lock horns with Stockwell when he wanted to give you a body double. I remember the multiple takes we had to take of our making out, and how you always promised you would pop at least several certs in beforehand. I remember giving you piggy-back rides, to and from set when you had a hard time waking up in the mornings. And more then anything else, I remember how from day one you felt like family to me. A sister, a friend, and someone I could always talk to whenever I was having blank moments of insecurity. Over the years, your growing talent has not shocked me. I knew you had it in you all along, and I can only hope your face continues to shine in studded tinseltown, because you're one of the most beautiful and strong women I know. Happy fucking birthday, sweetheart. I hope it was a good one.
