I got up and lifted, I get all worked up before I go as the gym members are, by and large, unmotivating. I go and do my thing, everything is great and I come home. I got up a bit late that morning so I have less time to get my stuff together than I hoped. I wash myself so I reek less and throw stuff into a bag, after a short conversation with Nick as to whether my jeans look stupid on me (yes, but not to the point someone would say something) I am off to ATX and the Neibles. (sp?) A little back story, I grew up in a “traditional, southern household” and have certain views on what I should do, the Neibles break most of the rules I have for myself while adhering to all of them for themselves. Zb. I wanted to call Ted and Bunny Mr. and Mrs. Neible, no you can’t do that they will think you don’t like them… ok fine, it was weird at first but now seems right. Some others that cause me pain are, not allowing me to help much with meals, not letting me do dishes afterwards, not letting Laura sleep in her room and putting me on the couch instead. The one that bugged me first though was that Laura told me if I brought them a gift the first time I came to their home they wouldn’t let me in. I thought about getting a plant or something and leaving it on their doorstep without mentioning it, but decided against it. Anyway, I finally convinced them to let be bring something to them, namely BBQ. Now as y’all know I like to eat, the Neibles have been outstanding in feeding me and I appreciate that more than they will ever know. (The days of packing protein powder for a visit and then chugging shakes in the bathroom are gone!) Back to my point, Everyone I know eats a ton of food, but the Neibles are “normal” people so how much food do I get, and what kind? They leave this to me and I choose 1lb/person with a split between brisket, sausage and chicken. Three type of meat has to go well, right? Turns out the sausage is beef not pork but the vast majority is eaten and the meal goes well with the sides Bunny got. Plus I got to eat brisket for breakfast, I think I could live off of it if I didn’t start to smell meaty. Mmmmmm Afterwards I am treated to humour in the British sense. Wooster and Jeeves is the choice, I hadn’t seen it before but am hopeful. It turns out to be entertaining though being able to hold Laura throughout the duration was the best part. Wooster is, Hugh Laurie, the same actor who plays House. I like him more as House, reason being he looks like a guy. Wooster looks like a girl.
Pics to show my point.
Saturday morning Laura and I accompany Bunny to Costco and Whole foods. I hate crowded areas, people are mostly rude and selfish, thus being around them makes me want to destroy them. “One can't love man without hating most of the creatures who pretend to bear his name.” -The Fountainhead
I go along and due in large part to Laura’s ability to relax with her mere presence I refrain from causing a “cleanup” on aisle 1-23. I do take full advantage of the crowd and visit each sample stand many a time, though Laura is too upstanding to steal me cheese. :p We get to the checkout where I am reminded why there are shirt sizes larger than M, which someone may want to tell the teenie-booper at the register next to ours. Off to whole foods! This place is cool in that it is a bunch of hippies, but not the annoying kind. Two girls working there kept giving me free food without my having to be sneaky, THEY FOLLOWED ME around cutting up fruit. Laura claims it was because it was on sale but I know they were just jealous of her. We get our Lebensmittel and head home. We have a late lunch and Laura and I go to Zilker park for “free” Beauty and the Beast.
The play was good, I thought Beast wasn’t beastly enough but Gaston looked good *cough*winstrol*cough* and the company to my left was nice. Sadly a bee chased two German girls away and they were replaced by to little kids ohne parents. Turns out their moms (no dad) sat aways back. The didn’t talk but kept scootching over into me and playing with this little truck that wound up and made noise. I asked them once to stop with it and they did for as long as they could remember to, but started again, I wanted to throw the truck, with the kid attached, across the crowd but thought better of it and just glared at them. They moved to their mommies for the second part. Laura and I jetted to the Jetta asap after the show to beat the traffic but Jenae wasn’t up to the task, she kept her battery light on which made Laura upset but as we drove home it turned off. Back home I showered and passed out.
Sunday we were lazy together until around noon, then we saw Hellboy II at the Alamo Draft House, it was better than the first and I got to eat which made it better. The buns there are bad but it is a theater not AJ’s. We came back and chilled the rest of the day. I had planned to leave around 8 to avoid the sun and traffic, but after watch two episodes of Foyle’s War (I really like it) Bunny suggests to Laura (whilst I am away, but able to hear) that I should stay. When Laura asks me if I want to stay I acted indecisive (like I don’t want to spend more time with you, pff) and then stay over. We watch part of Emma or somesuch then bed.
Monday morning I got to kiss Laura goodbye before work then head off on my own way. I got some (4) decent breakfast burritos on my way home and actually still made it to the gym at my normal time. I played with Anna (pictured) and went home.
PS I shouldn’t type when I am hungry, I seem to fixate on it.
