A Nation Remembers...

Aug 08, 2005 12:43

As for me and my life, eh, nothing too new. I may take another record PT test on Weds. Still debating. In other news...

Sadly, Sunday night our nation's best news anchor (and my personal favorite), Peter Jennings, passed away due to a short battle of lung cancer that he'd had for only 4 months. Let this be a lesson to smokers everywhere, and let us all remember the man that brought us through the good times and bad. My heart goes out to his close friends and family. You will be missed Mr. Jennings...

"Laura and I were saddened to learn about the death of Peter Jennings. Peter Jennings had a long and distinguished career as a news journalist. He covered many important events, events that helped define the world as we know it today. A lot of Americans relied upon Peter Jennings for their news. He became a part of the life of a lot of our fellow citizens, and he will be missed. May God bless his soul."

--President George W. Bush--
