HOLY SHIT. HOLY. SHIT. THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!
Not to say the last two episodes weren't good, because I did enjoy them, but damn did this one blow it out of the water!
Where do I even start??
I love the boys being smart again. Contacting Castiel as soon as Anna showed up and following his advice was a very smart move.
Poor Anna, she spent almost a year being tortured in an angelic prison. I love that she wasn't portrayed as crazy, although it was obvious that something had cracked. Her logic made sense though. Castiel thought so too, otherwise he wouldn't have hesitated so long in refusing to help with Anna's plan. Because as much as we don't like to admit it, the easiest way to reduce the destruction of the Apocalypse is to kill Sam and scatter his ashes. =(
However there was epic squeeing over Castiel proclaiming that Sam Winchester was his friend <3
Hehe I also love that the first episode Castiel was back he only had like five minutes worth of screen time. (My friend I was watching show with was very vocal about the lack of Misha)
Although I think that the amount of hurt!Cas in this ep will reduce the fangirls' rage. mmmmmm h/c
OMG! SAM"S PUPPY FAAACEEEE! and he couldn't stop staring at Mary and John and he said she was beautiful!!!!!
For all the Epic Plot of this episode it was very much like a domestic fic as well, with John asking after Mary's family and offering Sam and Dean dinner <3
I love Mary. I have a girlcrush on her. She kicks SO much ass!
Before this episode aired I had vague theories in my head, mostly about John seeing/overhearing something about Sam's demon blood situation which would somewhat explain how he knew so much about Sam and the YED's plans for him.
I love so much Sam's confessions to John. We never really got to see how much John's death affected Sam (not like we see it affect Dean)but the fact that Sam thought that John died think he hated him clearly has been weighing on Sam for a long time.
Which is why I went D= when Michael scrubbed John's memory. However my friend said that it was more important that Sam was able to tell John that he forgave, understood, and loved John than for John to remember it. Cause we all know that John knew Sam loved him.
Everybody shut up or so help me God I am turning this car around!
HAHAHAHAHAHa! Oh hai Big Daddy Winchester, there you are!!
Oh jeez, the scene where Dean and Sam tag team Mary and beg her to leave John so the boys are never born breaks my heart. Seriously you guys, little tiny pieces!
Another reason I loved this episode is that the boys are actually communicating with each other. I don't know, I have to watch the episode again, but the scene they both decide together that it would be better if they weren't born seems like the first time in a loooong time that they are actually hearing each other.
O_O Uriel. Holy crap! That was so unexpected and AWESOME! It also sparked a debate amongst the peanut gallery about angels and their relation with time. My friend and I both thought that Angels existed outside time, but since in the Judeo-Christian world time is linear we both accept that Anna calling up little Uriel is possible.
Sam died! AGAIN! so what, that brings the total up to two now? I forget how many times Sam has died.....
MICHAEL!
I have to say, that was amazing! I did not see that coming. I knew we were going to meet Michael at some point, but seriously, possessing John's body was a GREAT idea!! It also gives us more information about how angelic vessels work. We knew before that it had to do with the blood line but now we have it confirmed. However my personal theory was that it was Mary's side of the family that had the angelic vessel thing going on, not John's. My new theory now is that John's side of the family is the line that is more suited to be Michael's vessel, while Mary's side is tilted towards Lucifer. I have a lot of half formed ideas that I'm having trouble putting into words, so we'll just leave it at that.
I think I'm going to stop with my squeeing there. I am so tired that the screen is literally blurring in front of me and I don't think I'm making sense anymore. Anyway, awesome episode, I can't wait to watch it again and also read what everyone else thought about it!
Night guys!!
