Beginnings

Born a Half-Elf in a world that despises elves, I grew up with a tribe of wood elves, learning the ranger path and respecting nature. At 17, I decided to leave my family and friends to see the world and if it had changed since elves left the world of humans. Unfortunately, it had not. Hiding my appearance became a matter of necessity when travelling in the human cities, as was defending myself from scoundrels and misbegotten thieves. I spent most of my time travelling with caravans, fighting the hordes of creatures and bandits that are found on these major highways, but are more like dirt paths compared to the elven avenues of my homeland. It was during such travels that I developed a strong dislike for goblins and other goblinoid creatures and their petty ways of scavenging and thieving.

I had just entered a small frontier town after travelling with just such a caravan and met of with a band of adventurers that seemed less prejudiced than most other humans I have met. After spending some time with them cleaning out a haunted castle, I took my share of the treasure, including a milky blade I have taken to calling Night's Bane, and planned to see some more of the outlying countryside, promising to return to the band of honorable adventurers.

I then met up with and joined a band of mercenaries fighting the goblin/and orc hordes threatening the peace in the countryside, and in the course of my travels, returned to a small town where I again met with the group of adventurers. Deciding to fight with them again, I found they had also swelled their ranks with a small family of kobolds, seeming in awe of a priest of the group (named Velandro), as well as a mysterious mage named Kannex who tends to overindulge in elemental magics, a colorful bard named Talis and a strange man named Echelon, whom I fear doesn't do much of anything besides cure the occasional ailment of one of the group.

Currently we are travelling to a monastery in the mountains to rescue a fair princess from some evil Spider beings that are akin to doppelgangers. As we explored their outpost, a converted monastery, we came across a large dungeon where many creatures had captured and killed other adventuring groups, but failed to kill this one. Strange fellowships and friendships abound in the group, and I find that when I simply follow the tall barbarian, I am sure to find a challenge and lots of trouble.

After defeating a local hobgoblin king, my comrades and I had fallen prey to a trap, sending us deeper into the dungeon with no apparent escape. After exploring for a while, myself and the young barbarian, Rolf, had come across a knight that had been dead for centuries and found not only strong magic plate mail that Rolf had taken, but also a beautifully crafted long sword that was ideal for dragon slaying. Exploring the room some more, we had found a secret passage to a dragon's lair.

After gathering the strange monk named Kane, we returned to the lair and prepared to steal from the massive beast. Unfortunately the dragon disagreed, but, thanks to the intervention of a drunken priest, we were able to kill the young dragon and claim his horde as our own.
