Home again
Matthew had remained silent during the ride home. He sat in the back of the car, staring out the window, wishing away the filth and horror of the past few hours. As his driver stopped and opened the door, Matt got out slowly and smiled at the man, thanking him with a handshake and several 100.00 dollar bills. He knew he didn't have to bribe any of the people who worked for him, but for this night, he felt the man was worth the extra cash. He nodded and wished the driver a good night then headed to his private elevator and waited quietly, leaning against the wall to get home.
As the doors opened, he walked in, seeing Snake and Xander talking softly to each other and drinking. He wasn't sure he wanted to disturb them but the thought of having several extremely strong drinks kept his feet moving.
"Sorry it took so long." He said as he reached for a bottle and took a long deep drink. "Everything is taken care of. No one will ever know we were there."
