I always think it's funny when the announcers on the Selection Sunday show say that the committee tried to place the teams in pods as close to home as possible. Then they announce IU's draw and they always wind up playing in the West...usually in California. How is that as close as possible? If Hawaii or Alaska were an option, I guess you could say California's closer. It shouldn't matter that much, though. The Hoosiers came out of California in '02 on their way to the national championship game. I just think it's funny.

I'm glad IU plays the Zags in the first round. It's essentially the same teams - sans Gonzaga's star last year and sans Mike Davis. That sounds like a perfect formula for the Hoosiers to exact some revenge for last year's loss.
