Stupid Utility Companies!
Holy shit the utility companies down here piss me off!!! SBC sucks no matter where you live, so I was expecting them to fuck me around, but after the good experience I had talking to a rep from Charter (the cable company down here) when I first ordered service, I thought the rest of the times I'd deal with them would be good. I was so wrong. They were supposed to come out yesterday to get the cable turned on, which I was excited about because we got digital cable with built in DVR (kinda like TiVo) and also cable internet. Well, the installer that was here yesterday was a fucking moron. He said that the line comming into the house was dead, and that a supervisor was going to have to come out and check it, and, he was going to be here within the hour. Fucking liar! BAH! When I called back, a few hours later, I found out that the supervisor that was supposed to come out had completely forgotten that he was suppposed to come out here! Bastard! So they sent for another supervisor, who took like, two hours to get here (by now, it's like, 8pm, and they had originally come out at 8am) and he says "Sorry, can't do anything until tommorrow." So, I call the company, and totally tear some new asses, and even though it was supposed to be another 48 to 72 hours before they fixed it, I got them to come out this morning, and I got a $20 credit put on next month's bill. Woot! Plus, now we have bad ass cable and high speed internet. The cable package we got kicks so much ass, too. We have like, all the HBO's, Cinamax's, Starz's, etc etc. We have something like, 650 channels. This makes me happy.
