Today was pretty sweet, but ended hella-crappy.
I did nothing this morning, per usual. But around noon, Thomas came over and we ate fish sticks and went to Aleighs. It was pretty sweet, although we did nothing.
I had to leave a little early, cause I was playing golf with Bill Chapman, my tennis coach here at Eagle Harbor. We had a nice round, but on the last hole, lightning came crashing down, so we headed in.
I got a call during the middle of my round saying (from Aleigh), "Movie night has been moved to Kelly's"
I thought, "Well, okay, I'll find a ride somehow."
As the hours passed, and I was finished with my round, comfortably at home, Thomas gave me a ring on my house phone saying,
"Hey dude, do you have a ride to Kelly's?"
"No, why, do you need one?"
"Yeah, actually, I do."
"Well, if my parents'll take me, I'll call you. Other than that, I'll need a ride too."
At this point, I didn't have a ride and neither did he, or so I thought. It turns out Aleigh offered Thomas a ride, which he gratefully accepted, like any human-being would. The only thing is, I thought that his only ride was me, and since I didn't have one we were both screwed.
Nope, Thomas got a ride, didn't call to tell me he found one and that he was no longer in my need. I was left rideless, and not knowing who else was going.
The whole night, even as I wasn't there, Thomas didn't say anything about me needing a ride or how I was getting there. No one even called my cell or house wondering where I was. I'm at home, at this point, assuming it's just going to be Aleigh, Kelly, and Amelie. I figured Aleigh was headed over to Kelly's as I was on the golf course, and Thomas had called when I was home from the golf course, so Aleigh could've taken me.
That, and Thomas could've mentioned to her that I might've needed a ride or he could've called me to tell me he found one and didn't need me or my parents.
I'm sure everyone had fun tonight. Cerwonka ended up going, too, but I'm not mad at him cause he didn't know who was going, or that I needed a ride. Thomas knew I needed a ride. As read above in the phone conversation that we had, I was going to rely on my parents, if they were willing. Don't you think that as the night wore on, people would wonder why I wasn't there yet, and call to see where I was? No, they don't.
Thomas-Thanks alot for looking about for me tonight. I was going to give you a ride if my parents were willing to drive me out there and you knew I didn't have one unless they took me. You'd think that if I didn't show up as the night passed on that I might be at home, rideless. But no, you didn't call to see where I was, or call to tell me you didn't need a ride anymore, or to tell me you found one. Wow, thanks friend. Way to have my back. And you can argue with me over why I'm mad, go ahead. But that fact of it is:
-You called me in need of my/my parents services
-I offered them, if my parents were willing to take me out.
-You found a ride besides my parents and didn't think to call me and tell me you didn't need me anymore.
-I told you I didn't have a ride unless my parents were taking me.
-I didn't show up the whole night, and you didn't think to call and see where I was, or even mention that I wasn't there...no one who knew I was suppose to come did.
My friends are always there to look out for me. Jake and Evan, you guys are off cause you didn't know who all was coming.
Thomas, thanks buddy.
Aleigh, miscommunication, we already worked this out
Clara, I don't know whether you thought I was coming or not
Kelly, yep
Amelie, you're off the hook cause your French.
Maybe my "friends" aren't as good as I once thought.
