Live CDs Are Awesome

For those who don't know, you can put a Live CD with Linux on it into your Windows or Mac computer and it'll become a Linux computer temporarily. It's like hypnotism. It's as if your computer is clucking like a chicken. I've tried Knoppix and Freesbie. Haven't tried this one yet.

Okay, I'm downloading Symphony OS Alpha 3 (build 070). Is this the Live CD thing you're talking about?

It'll be interesting to see if it chokes my laptop with all the proprietary drivers lap tops use.

Alpha 3 build 070 and Alpha 4 build 099 are both Live CDs as well as install CDs. They give you the option while the Live CD is loaded to install the OS to the hard drive if you so choose. Alpha 4 is better.
