TV minefield almost traversed.

Been looking at TVs to replace my 40inch LCD Samsung set because TGG as offered to upgrade it with a 50inch model after seeing you can get the LG 50PK590 at a very reasonable price. Since then I've been ping ponging between the LG and the Panny S20 or G20 models.

Panny:
Pros: Better blacks, slightly better with HD material, anti-reflective coating.
Cons: I can see image flicker, doesn't de-interlace, reports of buzzing, reports of floating blacks, last year's models suffered rising black levels with age, pricy.

LG:
Pros: Cheap (at least £450 cheaper than Panny 50G20), very slim bezel, no visible flicker to my eyes.
Cons: Reflective screen, some edge artefacts if you look closely, slight worse for image retention than the Panny, uses more power than the Panny.

I'm swinging back towards the LG given the flicker of the Panny would get on my nerves and the other small differences are the type of things you'd not notice in normal use. I've also noted a number of people on AVforums have or are switching to LG from Panny after buzzing or floating black issues.
