Well I can't sleep, so in an effort to ammuse myself I decied to do charlotteu's girly meme

I have my normal morning routine (out of bed to clean and dressed, inc. shaving) down to under 10 minutes
04. DO YOU PUT ON A LOT OF LIPGLOSS?
No
05. DOES YOUR LIPGLOSS SMELL GOOD?
N/A
06. DO YOU CARRY A BAG?
Generally, I carry a moderately small rucksack
07. WHAT COLOR IS IT?
black and red (I had to look)
09. DO YOU HAVE A COACH BAG?
No. I googled it and they appear to be a manufacturer of leather goods
10. DO YOU HAVE A LOUIS VUTTiON?
No
11. HOW MANY PURSES/HANDBAGS DO YOU HAVE?
I have 5 rucksacks (every day one, old one, 1 nice day-sac, 1 cheapish 45l (quite big) and a reasonably costly 65l (big) which I bought for my Queen Scout award), a holdall, a suitcase, 1 wallet, 1 Camel back rucksack/bladder thing, a (huge) ex-army kit back and a variety of tool cases, small bags, small equipment cases etc. (many of dubious background *cough*)
12. DO YOU LIKE TO WEAR NAILPOLISH?
I don't feel it becomes me, though I do have quite a number of colours cast off by others
13. HOW OFTEN DO YOU GET YOUR NAILS DONE?
I cut them when they get too long

I did actually, but then I wasn't paying
15. WHAT ABOUT PEDICURES?
Does having your feet washed and toenails cut by a nurse count?
16. DO YOU HAVE A USUAL NAIL SALON YOU GO TO?
I have had it done once at one place, so I suppose so
17. WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR HAIR CUT?
Tony the Barber on Stockport Road (only £4.50)

Yes:
3 pairs of stealies (one belonging to Central Networks and one of them is destined for the skip as soon as I get a replacement)
1 pair of walking boots
1 pair of ex-army boots (free from Twinkle)
3 pairs of trainers (a newish pair, an old pair (which aren't really fit to walk anywhere in) and a pair I use of canoeing and the like)
1 pair of walking shoes (which I wear nearly everyday)
1 pair of brown light shoes-come-trainer things (I have no idea what they are called)
2 pairs of black shoes (1 of which are really too shabby to wear)
1 pair of flip-flops
4 pairs of slippers (1 current, 1 old (for "doing things in") 1 less old (but not for wearing round the house) black -- which I use when I board-op, follow spotting and the like, 1 pair at my parents)
2 pair of wellies (again one belonging to CN)
2 pairs of rugby boots (though one of them isn't really functional)
1 pair of skater type trainer things (they were given to me, but I don't think I've worn them)
1 pair of sandles
Thats 23! Not that I really buy many pairs I just never throw any out

For walking blue walking shoes; for driving light weight brown shoes
23. DO YOU WEAR HEELS EVERYWHERE?
Whenever it isn't cold I tend to avoid wearing shoes when practical and I sometimes take my shoes off when driving (which some people seem to find rather alarming), so on that basis no

I have only tried when drunk, which I don't feel is a fair test
25. WHERE DO YOU BUY YOUR CLOTHES?
Generally M&S, also Tesco and Asda; for stealies etc I tend to use Lawson-HIS or Paskin's Engineers Merchant
26. DO YOU GO SHOPPING EVERY WEEK?
Taking a wide interpretation of shopping, yes
27. WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE STORE?
Engineers merchants (specifically Benson's in Manchester and Paskin's in Brierley Hill), RS and the Axminster Power Tool Centre

Whatever it costs

I own the same number as most men (not to be confused with most men in MUGSS!)

40. CAN YOU APPLY MASCARA WITHOUT OPENING YOUR MOUTH?
I can't apply mascara (well on the one occasion I tried I couldn't)
41. DO YOU WEAR A LOT OF EYELINER?

44. DO YOU DO PILATES OR YOGA?
I had to look pilates up and according to dictionary.com it is “a method of physical and mental exercise involving stretches and breathing that focus on strengthening the abdominal core”. Now I do quite a lot of breathing (I find it makes staying alive so much easier) and I do a number of stretches (generally to easy some part of me I have managed to injure, in some mysterious fashion), which are physical and metal exercises, and my abdominal core must be pretty strong (based on cross-sectional area if nothing else!). Does this mean I do pilates without knowing it?
45. DO YOU HAVE A LOT OF MAGAZINES?
Define a lot; I'm guessing I have approx 80 IEE ones (12 Review, 6 Power Engineer, 6 Student and Graduate, 6 Careers per year for 2 1/2 yrs + others odds-n-sods), 4 years worth of DIY-Radio, 2 years of RadCom and an assorted collection of What Hi-Fi?, LRO and various computer and car related ones (say 15 all together). Oh and I still have probably 30 old MBUKs somewhere.
