This has been kind of a disappointing April Fools' Day because:
1) Homestar Runner didn't update at all today, even though they did for
April Fools' Day 2014,
2015, and
2016, and April Fools and Halloween are almost the only times they ever update nowadays.
2) I don't think many people noticed my April Fools prank at all.
For reference, my April Fools prank was
this entry; however, when I first posted it (on March 31 in my time zone, but late enough that it was April 1 already for some of you), it was an exact copy of my first entry. Then I waited a few minutes or so and changed it to a copy of a different past entry in the same way... then changed it to another after a few more minutes, and so on - basically, if I was at my computer, I'd change the entry anywhere from once an hour to once every few minutes. (At first. I gradually updated it less and less often because it seemed like no one was noticing...)
By "exact copy", that means including the subject line, repost button, userpic, tags, mood, music, location... basically, everything except the timestamp, the comments, and friends-only status [though, of course, the only friends-only entries I used were ones that probably would've been fine being public]. And anything that I intended to change each time but accidentally forgot sometimes. Though if I used an entry I'd posted in
_dreams_,
autism, or
asperger, I added a notice saying that it was cross-posted (even though I don't think copying a community entry to my own journal years later for April Fools' Day actually counts as cross-posting).
I chose the entries semi-randomly, sometimes by going to my Calendar for random years and months and picking a random entry I'd feel comfortable posting again, and sometimes by just putting in notable entries that I remember and wanted to include in this prank at some point. Some entries were used more than once.
And just to mess with your heads even more, I thought it might be fun to come up with a hypothetical FUTURE entry and add it into the mix! That's what the 2023 year in review is for. It ended up being my favorite thing about this prank, so I left that one up significantly longer than any other single entry.
Now that April Fools' Day is over, all the entries I ended up using are listed below for posterity. (Don't expect the repost buttons to work correctly, though...)

Hi! I'm Matt Aaron. For more info about what I do most of the time, go to my profile page.
Right now, I'm wondering what the next Strong Bad E-mail will be like. You should check them out (on homestarrunner.com); they are really funny and were the inspiration for some of my funny screenshots (again, more info on profile page).

The last two days
Yesterday, I finally started on the fourth HAS essay, and it took me 2½ hours to come up with one thing to write about in my essay. True, that became the topic, making everything afterwards easier, but...yikes.
Today, there was a chance of a snow day, but sadly, it didn't happen. :(

I have no idea why I only just now linked to it, though...

Holy whole hand dealer, that was a long hiatus!
In case you were wondering why I was gone, the main reason is because, after seeing derogatory comments about PrtSc Land, I started trying to avoid most websites I promoted PrtSc Land on. Of course, that meant LJ too. But now that I recently got an opinion that tells me almost exactly what to do to make it a better comic, I'm going to eventually restart it and do just that, but I'll probably put it off for over a year to give people on SmackJeeves a chance to forget what the first two online versions were like. Putting Paris Hilton in the comic without knowing that much about her? What the cattle note was I thinking?!
Other things I did during my hiatus:
- Made a backwards music website called Ours Will You 1-Up (which is linked to at the top of this page, replacing my PrtSc Land link). To those of you who have heard about backmasked satanic messages, you might think OWY1U is about those, but not exactly; all I really do is put up the backward lyrics to various songs I have, and actually seem to find backmasked video game references more. Did you know Dido apparently has a crush on Olimar (from the Pikmin games)?
- Started noticing that some of my dreams are actually pretty weird. Now that I think about it, maybe LJ has a community about weird dreams. I probably ought to check.
- Started taking college computer and math classes, even though I'm still in 10th grade. Fun fact: Ours Will You 1-Up was originally created for an assignment in the computer class.
- Just today, I won a math competition at Weatherford College. I got first place in both the individual AND the team competitions.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Tomorrow, I'm going to retake the essay I did on my COMPASS test. Or, more accurately, stay at Weatherford College until someone figures out what one divided by zero is. :(

I'm-a back!
It's sure been a while since I posted. SO overloaded with homework this year - to the extent where I haven't been able to work on creative vortexes ONCE this semester so far. It doesn't help that I still randomly get depressed thinking about the Forbidden Comment Threads (ten months later) without even reading anything similar to them, so whenever I do have enough free time to work on my creative vortexes, I'm too depressed to do anything other than play video games. So, don't expect me to ever finish anything. :(
In fact, I'm only back right now just to mention this: Remember me telling you about the
Base 36 Clock (which has moved to a different URL since the day I found it)? Check it out today sometime between 11:24:00 and 11:45:36 PM UTC (or, if it all possible, at exactly 11:29:27 PM UTC)... :D

I've rarely been unique when it comes to usernames, so when I joined Neopets (I know this is about LJ, I'm getting to that), I wanted to have my username just be "matt", but since that was already taken, it generated some usernames consisting of "matt" followed by random numbers and asked me to pick one. WHOA! Perfect timing,
bullying_begone - today, I met my first real-life bully in 11 years. (So far, people online have only been mean to me when I actually say stupid stuff, so I don't count those.)

First of all, had I not decided to actually go to bed tonight (once I finish typing this post), tonight would have been my third all-nighter so far.
December 2011
Thanks,
glowing_dragon!
What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?
- Went to college.
- Got overly depressed about comment threads in a manner reminiscent of the way I was soon after I realized that PrtSc Land was, in fact, not as awesome as I had thought it was.
- Alienated two entire communities. :(
Did you keep your New Years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Nope, although while "do less than 4 stupid things per day on average" was definitely too high of a goal, I think I may have gotten over my procrastination problem, so if I redid "work on creative vortexes for at least an hour almost every day", I might actually get closer to keeping it.
However, I think a better goal would be to at least end the year with less creative vortexes than I started it with just to make sure that it's possible to eventually get rid of the mental roadblock they're creating, so that's my resolution for this year. I'm also going to try to not say more than 36 stupid things online, as saying stupid things is much worse if it's on the Internet for all to see.
Did anyone close to you give birth?
One of
pathvain_aelien's cats did. And then it seems one of the kittens did, too. Pretty early...
Did anyone close to you die?
Not that I can think of, although I have thought several times this year that Schrödinger's Enya was dead...
What countries did you visit?
Technically, none. I did go to Puerto Rico for a senior trip, but that's still a U.S. territory.
What would you like to have in 2012 that you lacked in 2011?
Common sense and a complete lack of creative vortexes.
What date from 2011 will remain etched upon your memory?
November 18, 2011 - the day I first read the Forbidden Comment Threads. Remember how when I did this for 2009, I decided to start calling April 8 the "Ides of Author Cancelled" because of something that happened in
autism that day? I am officially moving the date of the Ides of Author Cancelled to November 18. It deserves it MUCH more than April 8 does.
What was your biggest achievement of the year? Actually overcoming my depression about the Forbidden Comment Threads.
What was your biggest failure? Pretty much everything else I did this year.
Did you suffer illness or injury? Not any more or less than usual, aside from that day that I fell over.
What was the best thing you bought? One of my new Mario T-shirts. (I'd say my 3DS or something, but that was a Christmas gift, so that doesn't count)
Whose behaviour merited celebration? All of my LJ friends!
Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed? Certain people in the F̪͓͚ͦͣ͌̔ͫo̹̞̎r̴̮̬b̡̰̪̰̺̰̮͍̏ͨ̆͐i̞͚̭d͖̤̘̭ͧ͆̉͐ͣͭ̀d̰̪̓͠e̱̱n̖͈̟͇̠̺̍̇̏ ̶̪̲̫̥̼C̬̫̾ͤ̓͛̈́͝o͍͂͌͌͞m̩̘̾̐̽̀̌͂͗m̩͔̪͔͉͔͙ͦͩͭ̓̄e̟̳̦̖̓ͦ͐̿̇n͇̲͖͍̈́̑̋ͦ̽ͥṯ̼ͪͧ͡ ̴̱̘͙̻͋̓̑̅ͦͧŤ̂̔̄h͙͙̘͒͞ṙ̭̱̈́̚e̶͉̫̘̠̤̟̝͆ͤͮ̚a̹͕̮͔̒͆͆̂ͪ͟d̹̲̊̄š̼̱͖̪̳̰̓̿̽ͭ̽ͮ.͎̜͆͋͛̈́̒̅͂͢ J̙̩̳̦̙̏ͮ͐ͬ̓ù̵̱̝̺̹̖ͥs̷̳͎͚̱̜̭̋͂̂͗͊͘t̷͉̲̮͆́̏̄̂̂ ̩̪̪̖͔̞̮̼̳̌ͨ̀̃̎͂́̚s̔ͬ̒ͯ̊͏̖̹̦a̝̮̝̹͕ͧy̢̙̳̞̮̖̜͈̟̣̿̈ͨ͂̀͋ͣ̏̈́i̴̾̀͂ͮ̀̑̊҉̲͓n̸͍͚̗͇̗ͨ͟g̴͉̖̩̠̟͎̫͙̓͛͌̏̚͞ ̭̓͊͞s̝̪͙̅̊͐̀̃͊̚ő̸̘̙͇̺͘ ̙̫̯̞̼͔̿ͤͤ̈́͗͘i̦̔ͦ͒͂͌̌̽ͦ͢s͉͓̻̞̥̉̃ͬͧ̌ͣ̓̓͢ ̨ͭ̔̑ͣ̔̂̾͏̰̩͎̝p̺̹̬͚͇͋͒ͦ̊̎ͨ̈͊͘r̭̼͙͛ͣͫ̅́̕o̶͓͉̲̤̙̩̞͔͂̑͐̚͝ͅb̴ͭ̔ͤ̔̾͆͡҉͚͙̖͔̣ǎ̆ͭ̎̂ͩ͐ͯͦ҉҉̳̣̣̲͖̺b̤͖̖͛͛͘ḻ̣̹͆̈́ͤ͋̉̎̇͛ͨ͡͝ÿ́̓ͩ̃͒͜҉͔̯̥̤͎͚̬͙ ̤̮̖̤̳͇̹̰̼͛͊̀ģ͕̗̖̦̤̝͇̲̿̔ọ̶̧̪̭͓͈̬͓ͭ͂ͩͬͧ͛̒̅i̸͉̳ͦ̄n̵̥͎ͩg̵͉̤̓̏ͨ͆̆̃̾͜͡ ̶̻͓͈͎̆t̻͕̝ͣ̅͂ͫͣ̚o̶̙̹͆̀́̾̀ͧͭ ȑ̴̵̨̛̫̝̩͓̮͎̺̥̿ͯͦ̓̽̚̕ͅẹ̵̝͉͍̺̒ͯͯ̾h̸̷̯͈̰͖̫̖̩̙̙̯͉͖͇ͯ̾ͥ̅̋͘͘͝a̷̡͛̃ͣ̐ͬ͗͒͐ͯ̅ͤ̍̿̅͏̴̙̝̻̗̬̪̮̬͓͇̝͎ͅş̧̦̤̰̠̣ͩ̈́̄ͦͨͤ̃̋͆̐̓̌ͬ̕͜͞ḩ̵̵̞̭̮͇̜̝͇̱̖̭̗̿́̾̐̋̂͢ͅͅ ̨̗̭̞̟͓ͫ͂̍ͯ̀ͪͫ͂́͜͢͠t̫͙̤̰ͦͬͯ̽ͦ̓̽̑̏ͤͭͭ̉̈́̑̀̀̕͘͝ḧ̛̻̭̗͍̬͇́̆̓ͭ̒̀ͮ̆͌ͥͧ́̕͟ĕ̷̛̟̟̣͙͇̳̰͍̈͌́ͯ͌̀ͭͣ̆̀̓ͣ͛͢͟ ̵̢̟͕̤̻̖͍̀̋͋ͫ͛͂̊ͯ̓͐̈́͒̐͜ẁ̶̛̱̯͓̼͚̺̪͚̩̻̯͂̽ͦ̈́̑̓̎ͬ̽̕͟͝ḩ̬͔̞̮͕̦̹͈̗͇̗̟̖͓̖̾̈́͂͐̚͢͢ǫ̡̗͎͕͕̯͕̱̲ͯ̐̏ͦ̆ͦ̅̉̈́̉̔ͮ̆͒͒ͫͩ̚͜͡l̉̃͐̃̂̓ͭ̋̋ͮ̆͂̏̕҉͎̘̗͓̙̫̹̞̣̲̲̤̫̙ͅ6̱͓͓̠̣̖̝̠͉̏ͬ̒́͗ͯ̿̓ͭ͆̂̕͠͡6̵̶̥̫͉̭̳͑ͩ̽͑͆́̓͒͜6̵̢̧͕̪̖̮̲̫̝̦̲̺͕͂͐̌ͨ̐̄̒ͭ̄̄̋ͭ̒̚̚ͅ ̓̃ͤ̔ͮͣ͑͛̍ͦͭ̊̈́ͦ̎͏̤̠̦͈͙̙͉̜̤̘ͅ6̸̵̽ͭ̄̅҉̳̖̯̳̘̻̣̖̯̺̹̗̙ͅ6̧̫̲̦̱̅̆͌ͩ̔͛̎ͥͤͯ͗͟6̶̶̜͉͓̘͖̙̪͍̼͓̩̠̭̖̓̔͌͌͐͐ͧͪ̉͌ͫ̀͢ ͣͯ̇ͨ̀̉̃̓ͨ̎ͮ̾ͤͭ̈́ͦ͏̡̦͔̳͖̳͇͈͚ͅ6̡̝̝̤̭̰̟͎̦̦̣̲̱͖̤̙̓̽ͥ̅ͨ͘̕͟6̧̥̠͔̦̯̤ͦͩ͑̿̐̓ͮ͂̀͊̐ͬͥͧ̓ͫ̚͜͠͡͠6̶̛̤͙͈̥̰͇͎̼̘̰̗̭͇̩ͨͨͦ͛̌̔͟͜ ̴̻̼̞̥̼͚̱͕̩͙͔̫̰̙̲̲͈̠ͧͨ̽ͮ̒̐͂ͣ̋̈ͧ̐ͨ͟͟6̷̵̨̙̗̠͍̝̘̆͂͊͒̌̿ͮ̍ͬͭ̌͑̒́̀6̷̦̦̦̰͉̮͉̖̻͙̻͈͖͋ͨ̾̂͝6̶̞̙̜͍̰̳̳͈̾̾̾ͣ̐͂̊̅ͥͦͭͩ́̉́́ͯ́̚ͅ ̈̆͊ͭ̃̌̓͂̋̂́ͬ̋̔ͤ̔͗̑͐͢҉̣̭͇̹̠̝̼̲̬͚̰̺͇̖̺̗ͅͅ6̨̡͓̥̺͈̜̫̙̦͕͙̏ͮ̊̂̀̐̎͌ͭ̋̀̅̂̋̚̕͠ͅ6̗͓͈͚̖͈̿̋̌̓ͨ̑ͭ̆̍͑͆̚͘͝ͅͅͅ6̵̸͉̳̯͇̖̭̺͖̤̖͍͕ͯ́̐͑ͣ̾ͤ̓͛͂̉͛͑̎́ ̵̛͕̲̝̲̪̣̋̔͗̋ͦ̀6̴̨͈̲̝̤̝̬̹͎͕̭̹͙̠͍̍̓ͬ̉̎͛̓̓͛ͪ̀̕͝6͔͓͚͕͔̱̭̣̙̰ͨͭ̊̍̎̇ͦ͑͐̌̆̏͑͟6̷̦͖͈̺̪̘̦͚̬̭̥͓̜͈̞̞̥̌ͦͮ͑̔͊̎ͬ͜ ͛ͤͤͥ̈́̇ͪ̓͋̇̌̏̿̊̎͏̸̥̞͙͎̰̠̭̲̦̘̼̲̜͇̺̺̮̤̞6̵̧̲̻͍̠̻͙̪̬̱̯ͩ̿ͪ͗ͭ́ͮ̎̈ͮ̚͝6ͥͯ͑͑͛ͬ̚͏͎̬̰̙͇͔̠̭̥͎̮̰̬̩͘͟6̸͍͍͕̫͈̦̊͗̏ͦ̈́̐̂̔̂͂ͫ̽ͫ͑̑͑ͨͧͭ̕s̵̨̗̫͉̺̝̘̀ͪ̔̐ͮ͆̒̇̕n̨̛͕̮͎̪̺̠̹̳̥͔̟̝͖̰̥̤̗̱ͣ̐̑ͨ̿̅͂ͦ́̂̂̽ͧ͘͢'̨̡̳̝͔̼̰͕͔͙͂̀͊͆ͧ̋͐̀̿̇̊͌̈́ͥͩ̾̿̕͘͘ţ̳̱̫̬͙̟̹̝͉͗̀̂̃ͦͫ̊ͦ̐̎ͣ́͠͝ ̸͔̳̠̦̰̼͈͇͚̾͗͆̓ͬ́̿̽ͨ̓͂̔ͪ͝ͅȋ̶̘̟͇̫͎͖̳͈̟͖̇̐͌̄t̵̜̗̦̟͍̲̩ͨ̔͗̑̅̎̒͘͞?̞͉̬͈̣͎̦͔̻̭̂͆ͣ͊́́ͬͧ̽̽͠ͅ
Where did most of your money go? Probably gambling. Of course, my college tuition was actually more, but Mom paid for it, so it doesn't count because it's not my money.
What did you get really, really, really excited about? The ends of my last semester of high school and first semester of college. And Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7. Also, pretty much any time I saw the number 206.
What song/album will always remind you of 2011? Pretty much any music from Super Mario 3D Land. The main theme was stuck in my head long before I actually got that game :)
Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder? Sadder. I've gotten over my depression about the Forbidden Comment Threads, but I'm still more depressed in general than I was last year, especially since I've had this answer three years in a row...
Thinner or fatter?
Thinner. A lot of days in college, I didn't get up early enough to have lunch :(
Richer or poorer? I don't really know. Poorer would be a good guess given the economy, but I did win quite a lot gambling sometimes, so...
What do you wish you'd done more of? Working on my creative vortexes! If I'd been as productive at the start of 2011 as I am now, I'd be so much better at focusing...
What do you wish you'd done less of? Procrastinating.
How did you spend Christmas? Same as usual - opening presents at home, then going over to my aunt's house for a while.
Who did you spend the most time on the phone with? Mom. No big surprise considering how many times she had to call me to get me up in college.
How many one night stands did you have in this last year? None. Sever your leg, please.
What was your favourite TV show? The only shows I watched much this year were X-Files, Charmed and Frasier, so one of those. Can't decide which.
Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? I try not to actually hate anyone, but...Forbidden Comment Threads. (I can't even make this answer grammatically correct without running the risk of rehashing what happened...)
What was the best book(s) you read? The Bird's Nest, as that was pretty much the only book I read this year aside from my high school and college textbooks.
What was your greatest musical discovery? Probably various video game music remixes I've found.
What did you want and get? New video games and out of high school.
What did you want and not get? An Enya concert, some more freed-up brain cells that used to contain my creative vortexes, and out of college.
What were your favourite films of this year? Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 & 2. I can't really think of any other films I watched this year.
What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I turned 18, and see
here.
How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2011? I always wore clothes this year.
What kept you sane? On the few occasions that I was sane, Enya. And various webcomics. :)
Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? I'm sure by now I don't have to tell you :P
What political issue stirred you the most? Do the Forbidden Comment Threads count? They were annoying enough to count as a political issue, at least :P
Who did you miss? Schrödinger's Enya. If only I hadn't kept trying to be her friend and the paparazzi at the same time, she might have stuck around...
Who was the best new person you met?
glowing_dragon! (Actually, pretty much any of my new LJ friends. It's just that G_D is the most frequent commenter so far.)
Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011. Stay away from
asperger. Bad things happen there.
Quote a song lyric that sums up your year? The song that sums up my year doesn't actually have any lyrics, so I'll post a video instead. In fact, I'll post three videos of different versions of it.

Autistic thoughts about autistic thoughts
(x-posted to
autism?)
My name is Matt Aaron. I am a 15-year-old who has been diagnosed with autism since the age of 18 months. At first, it was very severe - I wouldn't talk at all, just scream, and I wouldn't listen to anyone. In a few areas, however, I was smarter than normal teens - at the age of two, I liked the computer, but after a while, my mom put a password on it and connected it to a power strip, yet I watched her type the password and figured out how to use the power strip. I was the world's youngest hacker :P
However, after therapy sessions (which I hated because I didn't understand the purpose of them), I obtained a loose grasp on the world around me, which has been gradually getting firmer. I have always been very good at math and with computers, and in fact won first place in both the individual and team divisions at a math competition at Weatherford College recently. *hugs the iPod nano that I won* I also take dual-credit college math and computer classes despite only being in 10th grade. Yet I am not that good at other subjects; I find most of history boring and tedious, and am usually horrible at writing essays - I only wrote two good essays without any help, but since one was 1300 words (despite taking me five hours), I may be improving.
I sometimes self-teach myself things. For a while, I would right-click on any webpage I go to and click "View Source" and look at the HTML code, managing to pick up a few of the basics of HTML. In fact, the first time I put an image into a webpage, the HTML code to insert the image was copied from the source of
http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbsite/ and edited.
And although I have taken two art classes, I prefer to use drawing techniques I devise on my own by observing drawings and photos.
I do not talk to people at school or other "social" places very often, mainly because of regretting many stupid things I have said in the past and fearing that some of them are still remembered by my classmates. (Lack of eye contact, however, is for a different reason - I just don't see the point in it.) There are even some websites I mostly avoid because of all of the stupid things I have posted. Here are a list of some of them:
http://prtscland.smackjeeves.com/ - A comic I made that was originally never online, just kept on my computer. It was a crossover fancomic about several video games, online games, cartoons, and even some singers, yet started out as mostly just screenshots, hence the name. After two revamps (one before it was uploaded, one afterward), it still isn't that great because I still wanted to keep some of the early days. I don't think people will believe me if I say it will be better after the next revamp.
http://www.pixelcomic.net/ - Look at the comments on comics 0-105 I think. I went by "MattsterMaster", except one comment that is under "retsaMretsttaM" because I was typing backwards.
http://emotidrops.smackjeeves.com/ - I don't remember which ones I commented on, but almost all of my comments were stupid. My SmackJeeves username is MattsterMaster.
http://tezzleandzeek.smackjeeves.com/ - Ditto. The URL may be wrong, but I'm too scared to check. I only read the first few comics.
http://fanmail.smackjeeves.com/ - Ditto again.
http://theyoshiherd.smackjeeves.com/ - Though I commented better here, there were a few stupid comments. This URL may be wrong too.
http://forum.hrwiki.org/ - Search for all posts by TheHumanScreenshot to see the stupidity.
http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/User:Mr._Screenshot - It's clear why I made only a few edits with that account, and now just leave anonymous comments on talk pages.
http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/Comic_Sightings - I promoted PrtSc Land here. Yikes.
The only sites I am confident with myself on are Facebook, LiveJournal, and Ours Will You 1-Up (my Google site about backwards music), but that's all I need to enjoy myself. I'm not quite a social butterfly, but I'm not an emo moth either. ;)
Now for a few thoughts on autism:
- Has anyone read the book Born on a Blue Day? Different letters and numbers remind the main character, an autistic savant, of different colors and shapes, and vice versa. I am like that somewhat, but only to where letters and numbers remind me of colors (not all of which match his). For example, if the letter L is written in red, I see it in red, but it still reminds me of green. I even once tried to remember a guy's name, but could only remember that it started with an F, a J, an L, or a T because those are various light shades of green.
For completeness:
A is red
B is orange
C is a medium-dark blue
D is dark green
E is a slightly orangish yellow
F is a medium green
G is a darker green than D
H is a medium blue
I is white
J is light green
K is a baby blue of some sort
L is a medium-light green
M is yellow
N is dark blue
O is between E and M
P is purple
Q changes between various shades of blue
R is magenta
S is silvery-white
T is a shade of green between L and F
U is a really dark blue
V is a shade of green reminiscient of grass
W is a silvery color between S and I
X is black
Y is a greenish silver
Z is a darker silver than S
0 is black
1 is the same red as A
2 is light blue
3 is the same yellow as O
4 is the same magenta as R
5 is a shade of green that reminds me of camouflage
6 is a blue between U and C
7 is the same red as 1 and A
8 is pink
9 is a lighter purple than P
Does anyone else have this?
- Does anyone know of a way to convince my subconscious that not everything I say in person will be stupid? My conscious understands, but my subconscious doesn't want to take any chances because I've been beaten up in elementary school way too many times.
- I'm wondering, are all autistic people better at math than reading and writing? All of the autistic people I have heard about are, and most of the non-autistic people I have met aren't.

2023 Calendar Year in Review!
(Not archiving the whole entry this time because it's already the previous one, but I do have a fun fact for you: The lines for the April and November 2023 entries are based on what were originally ideas for entirely separate April Fools' pranks. Which means that the April one is now an April Fools' prank that I pull off in a hypothetical distant future that is made up as part of another April Fools' prank. :) )

Wordle Year in Review 2016
Wordle Year in Review 2016
It took a lot longer than usual for me to get around to it this time, but I finally did it!
---
Go to
Wordle and...
1) Paste in all entries you posted in January 2016 and make a Wordle configured any way you like
2) Paste in all entries you posted in February 2016 and make another Wordle configured any way you like
...
12) Paste in all entries you posted in December 2016 and make another Wordle configured any way you like
13) Make a Wordle out of your entries from ALL months of 2016, configured any way you like
Then post all of these Wordles to your LiveJournal!
You may do steps 1 - 12 only or step 13 only if you prefer.
It's up to you if you include subject lines, comments, community entries, friends-only entries, music tags, location tags, etc., and it's up to you whether you post your Wordles in a public or friends-only entry. Anything else I didn't think of is probably optional as well.
---
This time around, there was an additional complication involving
an entry I actually wrote in May 2016, but listed as January 2015 to mess with everyone's heads, including mine. (which, like a lot of my entries, will probably make no sense whatsoever if you haven't read a lot of my entries from November 2014 [at the LATEST] to May 2016... but if you're feeling lucky, go ahead and read it without context! :P )
Anyway, the complication is: does that entry count as January 2015 or May 2016? So some Wordles have two different versions, one listed as being from 2015 or 2016 and one listed as being from "2015B" or "2016B". Without the B, it means the retroactive entry counts as the month it was actually written: May 2016. With the B, it means the retroactive entry counts as January 2015. (And yes, this means I'm retroactively adding two more Wordles to the PREVIOUS year in review!... but to reduce confusion, I'm not actually putting them in
that entry; I'm just putting them here.)
2015B
January 2015B
2016
2016B
January 2016
February 2016
March 2016
April 2016
May 2016
May 2016B
June 2016
July 2016
August 2016
September 2016

What Remote Button Are You? revisited 5 years later
I'm too lazy to repost or link to the original entry, but I got pause last time.
This time:
You Are Rewind Compared to most people, you are nostalgic and sentimental.
You are drawn to the past. Your favorite things tend to be old things.
You like to replay events in your mind after they've happened.
You're the type of person who can watch a favorite movie over and over again.

Enya Challenge
Holy. Whole. Hand. Dealer.
Enya may have just friended me on LiveJournal!
Enya may have just friended me on LiveJournal!!
Enya may have just friended me on LiveJournal!!!
My proof:
- The username,
an_bhean_airgid, is Irish for "silver lady", which sounds like something Enya would say
- an_bhean_airgid's birthdate is May 17
- a_b_a's location is Ireland
- The only person a_b_a friended (me) is writing a story that technically counts as an Enya story even though really it's just Super Mario Galaxy 2 with Enya and Moya thrown in
- a_b_a made a community called
enyastories the same day they friended me, possibly out of interest in Moya's Space Log
- The only entry so far in enyastories says at one point, "'And Winter Came...' is the beginning of a story (really, Roma says so)." "Really, Roma says so." While a_b_a could just be an Enya fan who read that out of an interview or something, to me it sounds more "I actually am Enya and Roma told me in person" than "I'm an Enya fan reading an interview with Roma".
- The mood icons in enyastories are of cats, which Enya has said that she loves
It gets even stranger. Earlier this year, I had a dream that there were three secret pages on enya.com accessible only with passwords, and one password was a six-digit number apparently hidden in the lyrics to Pax Deorum somehow, and while I don't remember the entire password, I'm pretty sure either the first or last 3 digits were a 0, a 2, and a 6 in no particular order.
Today is 12-06-10.
12-06-10
So much mystery! In fact, I'm gonna private message a_b_a and ask if they're Enya right after I'm done with this entry. :P
EDIT: In Simple Gematria, "an_bhean_airgid" is 93 and "Enya Brennan" is 113. Add these together and you get 206!

Constantly changing details and even more possible apocalypse dates
(x-posted to
_dreams_?)
I know that details in dreams have a tendency to change over the course of a dream, but does it mean anything if they change almost constantly and/or if it's names that change? For instance, you might remember
this dream I previously posted, in which a government organization's name kept changing and never made any sense, and the only name I remember in waking life was The Back of Us.
Additionally, last Saturday, I had a dream about a weird video game in which almost every single detail, especially names, was in a TBOU-esque state of limbo. I don't think the game itself had more than one title, though I only remember that one of its title(s) was only one word long and started with an I (therefore, for the purpose of this entry it's called I[blur]).
The main characters of I[blur], however, changed almost constantly. While their names, of course, kept changing, both of their names always started with the same thing (though this shared part of their names also changed). However, the two names (one per character) that I remember don't have a shared part; one was /tensen/ (Yes, even though I've never played
Little Big Adventure and have only seen a Youtube video and the
Wikipedia article on it, somehow I dreamed up a character with a name based on Twinsen's. /tensen/ doesn't look like Twinsen, though.) and one was /crazymegavideo/ (don't ask me why she has a video hosting site in her name). And yes, both their names had slashes around them for the first half of the dream and were never capitalized.
Now we get into /tensen/ and /crazymegavideo/'s appearance and the genre of I[blur]. At the start of the dream, I[blur] seemed to be a platformer game featuring only /tensen/, who was human at this point. Later, it seemed to be an RPG (which actually makes sense because apparently Little Big Adventure combines arcade elements with RPG elements) featuring both /tensen/ and /crazymegavideo/ as nearly identical white squids. Towards the end, I[blur] wasn't even a video game at all; it was replaced with me being in a partially-flooded room with some sort of /crazymegavideo/ pool toy (human form, which looked like a female version of /tensen/'s human form) that could be fattened up with water. (I might have the squid part and the pool toy part in the wrong order, by the way.) It's also worth noting that I[blur] never appeared to have a plot of any kind and that I barely got to play any of the three "versions" of it.
Another thing - last night I had a dream that I was banned from LiveJournal for 90 days, but over the course of the dream 90 changed to 100 and then 113, and my being banned from LiveJournal for that long changed to my having that long to become more mature or something (I never knew what I had done in the dream to be banned). A later dream acted as a sequel of sorts where it turned out that some LJ user had accidentally banned me from commenting in their journal, apologized for the mix-up, and unbanned me. But even then, having 90, 100, or 113 days in a dream sounds kinda like a hidden apocalypse prediction to me. If this is the case, it would be on November 4, 14, or 27.

I feel like I both am and am not high-functioning
(x-posted to
asperger?)
(Cross-posted to
autism. Or at least, I posted a similar entry there two years ago; is that still cross-posting?)
Hey everyone! I'm Matt Aaron, 17 (though I turn 18 in less than a month), and officially diagnosed with Asperger's. (Feel free to delete this entry if only self-diagnosed autists are allowed.) However, most of the time, I don't feel that optimistic and so I usually just identify with autism.
Actually, now that I think about it, I'm very unsure of what I should identify with. Sometimes, I feel almost neurotypical at one point in the day and very low-functioning earlier or later that day.
Evidence of me being high-functioning:
- Great with most areas of math and most aspects of computers. So great, in fact, that I passed NASA's High School Aerospace Scholars course and went to the six-day Johnson Space Center summer camp.
- Getting scholarships from all sorts of colleges.
- So far, there are two people who didn't know that I had autism or Asperger's or wherever I am on the spectrum until I told them, although one was my teacher at the JSC camp (whom I only met for six days) and the other I only know online.
- Nowadays, I rarely have meltdowns.
Evidence of me being low-functioning:
- Considering that I have grapheme→color synesthesia, I should be extremely fast at math problems. I'm good at them, yes, but I'm definitely not extraordinarily fast at them.
- My attention span was only 16 seconds the last time I checked, and it's probably even less now.
- Currently cannot do ANYTHING that's required to survive in the adult world.
- Not very good at making sense or avoiding misunderstandings. With my luck, by now you've probably already taken something I said in this post the wrong way.
- For the most part, I can only remember things if either: a) they happened in the past 30 seconds, b) they relate to my interests somehow, and/or c) I regret them.
- Most LJ posts I've made with the tag
"stupidity" and/or
"forgetfulness".
- I hate being forced to make small talk. I do just fine with social interaction (at least nowadays) as long as I don't feel forced to.
- Same thing with creativity. Whenever I'm lucky, I will randomly think of a creative idea, and whenever I'm even more lucky, I'll actually get the chance to express it. If I'm given a creative writing assignment in school, however, I either write something that doesn't make any sense at all (before high school) or get help with writing most of it. Good thing I graduated recently...
Because of this, I run into the exact opposite of the common "autistic person is competent, but NTs don't think so" scenario. See, even though there is more than twice as much evidence of me being low-functioning as there is of me being high-functioning, everyone I know (especially my family) seems to assume that I'm some sort of genius at everything based solely on my math and computer skills. In reality, though, I am clearly not completely a genius. I couldn't even be a math & computer genius; there's still at least one branch of mathematics that I haven't learned yet, I wasn't very good with geometry because of all the proofs, and I am completely clueless when it comes to setting up or fixing a printer or Internet connection. Sometimes I'd almost rather be called stupid than be called smart, because usually that seems closer to the truth.
I've proven unable to either make people realize that I'm not as high-functioning as they expect me to be or become the genius that they think I am. Even though you're probably gonna side with them, any thoughts would be appreciated.
I apologize for all the rambling above. I also apologize if this doesn't belong here and/or I somehow accidentally offended every single member of this community. (In fact, even though I came here to post about a much worse issue I've been having, I decided to wait until I'm 100% sure that this post makes complete sense, is allowed, and doesn't offend anybody. For some reason, 99% sure doesn't settle it for me - I have to be 100% sure. Sorry for rambling again.)
