How do you cope with having autism? Is it a big opstical for you?
It definitely is. In fact, I seem to be the one of the few people in autism who wants for there to be a cure for autism (and as far as I remember, the other people who do are all people I know in real life).
Sam is high functioning, are you?
I rarely feel like I am due to all the stupid things I do (I even rarely say that I have Asperger's syndrome and normally just say that I have autism), but in reality, I am high-functioning. In fact, nowadays I rarely throw tantrums like you've mentioned Sam having.
Sam doesnt initiate too much conversation.. are you initiating conversation or do you still find it difficult.
I'm getting a little better at it, but I still don't initiate conversation that often. (Although I think I probably initiated conversation more when I was younger, because I was oblivious to the stupid things I was saying.)
did you throw tantrums when you were sam's age? she's now 11. She's been throwing them for a couple years now.. I am soOOO worried they wont go away..

how do you get tantrums now? what do you do? do you hit people, try to bite yourself or anything else?? or is just verbal confrontations?
Normally, my tantrums consist only of crying. I can only think of one time that I did anything else in my tantrums - when I was 7, I hit one of my classmates once because I wanted to be at the front of the line (or rather, I thought that I had to because I was late getting to the line, if I recall correctly).
