[Oneshot] Rain & Sunshine

A/N: Okay! I seriously started to write this oneshot since July but I got super busy with PRELIMS and FINALS on my school so I didn't finish this early and it even took 4 months just to finish this O_O So yes I just finished this like this week O.o And also it was suppose to be a really deep angst but it turned out to be more Fluff *O* Uwah! What's happening to me O_O I even wrote this oneshot in my iPhone because I love writing stories there ^O^ So anyway this fic is my super duper late birthday gift for my dear jaechun friend xsuju_addictx ^~^ I hope you love it
The rain, moans for my dying soul,
My interpersonal depth and my insecurities.
The bombarding sound with every drop falling from the sky,
Makes me want to gallivant with someone,
But something in me says not, and I don't know why.
Jaejoong watch the rain outside the window, not listening to what his teacher is saying. He smiled every time the rain comes, forgetting all his problems for a while.
He wants to open the window to stick his arm out to feel the rain but he knows that his teacher won't allow him to and he may end up getting scolded. The only thing he did is lay his head on the glass window as he watches the rain pouring down, smiling in content.
After a while, he started to notice something, Jaejoong blink twice when he saw a blur red color on the roof top's other side of the building.
He gets his glasses on his table, wearing it to his eyes until he can see clearly. He saw a red umbrella. 'What is that person doing?' he thought as he keeps staring outside the window.
He saw that person suddenly closing his umbrella. Jaejoong notice that it's a guy but he can't see who that person is, blaming his eyesight not seem to know who he really is.
He starts to get confused when the guy is feeling the rain but he notice that the rain is starting to disappear as some sun rays starts to appear. His eyes widen, when the rain stops, the sun appears completely and a rainbow starts to show up.
'What the-' he thought
He saw him smiling as he felt the nice sunlight like how Jaejoong felt when there's a rain.
"Kim Jaejoong" Yunho shouted
He went back to reality, staring to Yunho with an uncertain look. "Um..." he couldn't say anything after that until Yunho interrupted
"It seems you're pre-occupied, Kim Jaejoong. Would you mind answering this question"
Jaejoong sighs as he goes in front of the class. He saw the equation problem, getting a chalk, starts to write an answer making his classmates and especially his teacher in total awe.
When his done, he glance to Yunho, reviewing his answer. "Tha... That's correct..." he stuttered.
Jaejoong smiled, going back to his seat, ruffling his hair a little until he remembered the guy. He look outside the window, eyes widen because he's not there anymore.
Jaejoong is on his way home, walking happily along with the rain. He even jump on the water puddle to make some splashes from his black leather shoes, staring at the water puddle he notice a reflection that is something red.
He look up, a guy in front of him is using a red umbrella as he walks. 'Could it be just my imagination or is it really him?'
Jaejoong was confused but he tried to catch up with the guy in front of him.
"Excuse me" he implied
The guy turnaround, Jaejoong's smile disappeared as he muttered "You", "What do you want, rain lover?" Changmin said with a raise eyebrow
Jaejoong snorts starting to walk away but Changmin got irritated and scoffed "What the- I should be the one who's walking away". Making Jaejoong chuckle.
"Don't forget my lunch tomorrow, rain lover" Changmin added making him chuckle again. He watch him leave until he suddenly felt something moving from his legs
He look down, a dog snuggling on his legs. Jaejoong crouch down. "Hey! Are you lost?" asking while patting the dog's head. He notice a collar around the neck of the dog, he reads it "Ha-rang"
"Where's your master, Harang?" Jaejoong ruffled Harang's head and body with both of his hands. He laugh at how the way Harang reacts until he notice that he can't feel the rain drops and Harang starts to get more lively until he heard a baritone voice
"Where have you been Harang?"
Harang bark twice making Jaejoong to look up, he saw a guy smiling at him while holding a red umbrella. He stood up; mesmerizing the beautiful smile from the guy
Jaejoong shook his head trying to look away. "He just came to me"
The guy connects a tag to Harang's collar so he won't run away, patting Harang's head. He glances to Jaejoong "Thank you for finding Harang"
"Well... Like I said he came to me so actually Harang found me". He nervously curved a smile on his face making the guy chuckled. "Still... Thank you though. I should accompany you as gratitude"
"Ah! It's okay I can go home by my-" Jaejoong reject his offer but got ignored when the guy grab his hand. "You already got soak from the rain. You might even get sick tomorrow", he said as they started to walk along with Harang. Jaejoong blush a little when the guy is still holding his hand.
There walk to the bus stop was awkward as both of them didn't say anything to each other and the rain starts to slow down until Harang starts to get close to Jaejoong.
The guy chuckle making Jaejoong curious. "What's so funny?", "Well this is the first time that Harang is really attached to other people than me" he replied
Jaejoong understood, smiling at how the way Harang reacts until they came to the bus stop. "Thank you so much for accompanying me", but in his mind he really wanted to walk along with the rain.
The guy smiled at him then suddenly the rain stops making some sunlight to appear. "Oh! The rain’s gone" the guy said, closing his red umbrella as he glance to Jaejoong
"Well see you around" he says, starting to leave with his dog.
Jaejoong waved until he realizes something. 'The guy from the rooftop a while ago', still looks to the direction where he left.
Jaejoong sigh in disbelief because the guy with a mesmerizing smile is the guy who made his beautiful rain disappear.
After that, he calls him 'Mr. Sunshine'
Jaejoong yawn, walking his way to their classroom. The sunlight hits his eyes and he suddenly covered it with his hand. He hissed continuing to walk, muttering "Not the morning that I want" he sigh.
Junsu suddenly appear in front of him as he went inside, he jump a little "God! Junsu, will you stop that"
"You know that I can't do that". Junsu smiled wrapping an arm around his neck. "And what a beautiful day we're having, even the sun agrees"
"I don't" Jaejoong interrupts. Junsu puff his cheeks as he tightens his arm around his neck. "It's because you’re Mr. Rain that hates the sun", he added
He tries to get away before he'll get choke by Junsu's arm. "You got that right" he said, putting his bag on the side, leaning his back on the glass window as he looked outside. "I really want the rain to come today as well"
"I think you're the only human who appreciates rain" Junsu shrugs, sitting on a chair.
"I totally agree with duckbutt Junsu" Changmin joins in making Junsu nod but Jaejoong ignored both of them as he reach out his hand outside the window.
"Rain is better because they're crying for their feelings" he mumbled, making a fist.
"Whatever". Changmin scoffs while Junsu asked "Whoa! Hyung, you can understand the rain's feelings?"
Jaejoong didn't answer his question but he thought about it. 'It's true that it's impossible to understand rain, you must have some kind of supernatural power to know it but for me it's different, it's like I can understand why the rain is pouring down.'
He observed the sky, pouting as the sun keeps getting brighter.
The bell rings, Yunho came in with someone beside him. The class was curious until he started to talk. "Class, we have a new student"
"Would you mind introducing yourself". Yunho beckon the new student to come forward with a smile on his face.
The student followed as he came in front of the class. He let his eyes wonder around making a face to show that he's a little nervous. He bowed in 90 degrees then straight up with a wide smile. "Nice to meet you. I'm Park Yoochun and I'm 22 years old. Just like you guys I'm also majoring in music so please take a good care of me", he stated
The class welcome him happily while Jaejoong rub his eyes then blink in surprise. He couldn't believe that Mr. Sunshine is his classmate from now on. He sighs, crossing his arms on his chest as he lean back on his chair while glaring at Yoochun.
Yunho clap twice. "Okay! Getting to know Yoochun is enough. Just continue that when my class is over", he demand with a quirk of an eyebrow while looking some of his paper works.
He noticed that Yoochun is standing in front of the class with a confused look on his face while staring at him. He shook his head, coughing a little and said "My apologies. Yoochun you'll sit beside with Jaejoong". Pointing to where he sits. "His on the last row, sitting near the window"
He looked where Yunho is pointing, a grin crept on his face as he went where he'll be sitting. He sat on his chair, putting his bag on the side then glanced to his seatmate.
Jaejoong stiffened, looking away as he tried to hide his blush on his cheeks. He tried to look a little and he saw the way Yoochun smiles then he notice the bright sunlight outside. He remembered that Yoochun is Mr. Sunshine.
He tutted, trying to ignore Yoochun who's sitting just beside him.
After a long history of the best musicians, the bell rang. Yunho starts to collect all his paper works. "Class, make sure to do your homework" he announced, the class replied yes as they're starting to go with their group of friends.
Yoochun watch Yunho left the class. He looked beside and saw Jaejoong trying to get some sleep but he interrupts. "It's a small world isn't it?"
Jaejoong look at him with a quirk of an eyebrow while leaning his left elbow on his table to support his head from falling.
"Thank you again about what happen yesterday" Yoochun said in delight while looking at him but Jaejoong replied as he glanced to Yoochun. "Don't mention it"
Yoochun notice how the way Jaejoong act. "Okay! What happen to the beautiful guy with an amazing smile that I met yesterday?" Jaejoong blush of the statement.
He tried to avert his eyes away from Yoochun but instead he covered his eyes with his arm. "It's because you made the rain disappear, Mr. Sunshine"
"Mr. Sunshine?" Yoochun repeats. "It's because Jaejoong is known inside the class as the rain lover". Changmin interrupts as he grab a chair to sit opposite close to Jaejoong
Then Junsu sat beside with Changmin smiling cutely to Yoochun but Junsu notice that his confused and he chuckled. "It means Jaejoong loves rain so he's happy when rain pours down"
"Then why calling me Mr. Sunshine?" Yoochun asks, rubbing his nape.
"It's because you always make the rain disappear, Mr. Sunshine". Jaejoong puff his cheeks while pouting after what he just said.
Yoochun understood. "Oh! Well I'm sorry that I did that, Mr. Rain", he said sarcastically with a smirk on his face.
Changmin glance to Junsu before leaning over to his ear whispering something. "I'm starting to like Mr. Sunshine"
Junsu snickered at what Changmin said, still looking to Yoochun's smirk and Jaejoong's pout.
"Mom, I'm going to leave now" Jaejoong shouted already holding the doorknob. He heard her mother reply "Don't forget to bring an umbrella. The news says it's going to rain later"
He rolled his eyes as he left the house and starts to walk his way to school.
Jaejoong came out on the bus. Noticing that the sky is getting dark and it made him smile. Then after a few minutes, the rain starts to fall down from the sky making Jaejoong smile more brightly while feeling the rain as he walk.
But suddenly someone came to cover him from the rain. Jaejoong look beside him and he saw Yoochun standing next to him with his red umbrella.
Then he notice Yoochun getting something from his bag and gave it to him.
Jaejoong quirk an eyebrow, "I don't need an umbrella". He starts to walk away but Yoochun grab his arm making him stop.
"Your soaking wet, Jaejoong" he muttered, tightening his hold to Jaejoong's arm.
He sighs, "Yunho already got used to me by getting soaking wet from the rain so it's fine".
"It's not fine with me" Yoochun implied making Jaejoong to look up. He saw how serious Yoochun is but then he suddenly let go of his arm. "Sorry! I forgot you're Mr. Rain" he mumbled, starting to go inside the school building first.
Jaejoong look where Yoochun left, staring at the umbrella he gave him as he felt something warm on his cheeks and chest.
That's how Jaejoong fell in love with his rival, Yoochun the Mr. Sunshine.
Jaejoong was looking outside the window near him. He smiled when he saw Yoochun made it on time before the school gate closes as he makes his way to their classroom.
"What's this? It's not even raining but how's it possible that Mr. Rain is smiling?" Junsu said curiously as he sat to the opposite side to where Jaejoong is sitting.
He looked somewhere else trying to ignore Junsu. "I notice it too" Changmin interrupted as he pinches Jaejoong cheeks.
"Hey! Stop it. I'm not a kid" Jaejoong complained as he shoved Changmin's hands away from him and added it with a pout.
"Good Morning!" Yoochun greeted, wrapping his arm around Jaejoong's neck with a smile on his face. "Why are you two bullying Mr. Rain?"
Changmin and Junsu look to each other when they notice Jaejoong getting flustered. A wide grin appeared on their faces, leaving them alone.
"Where are you two going?" Yoochun asked, unwrapping his arm on Jaejoong's neck and sat on his chair beside him
Changmin and Junsu didn't say anything but Jaejoong obviously know that they're teasing him with Yoochun because of the way they smile.
"Did something happen?" Yoochun points to Changmin and Junsu
Jaejoong looks away, trying to avoid eye contact to Yoochun.
"I agree with Changmin about what Junsu said about you"
Jaejoong glance to Yoochun. "You heard that?", "Not everything though" Yoochun added
"What's this! Mr. Sunshine was eavesdropping". Jaejoong teased with a smirk on his face until he saw the mesmerizing smile of Yoochun.
He heard Yoochun saying 'maybe' but he pretend he didn’t hear it as he cover his whole face with his arms as his pillow.
Jaejoong can feel that Yoochun is watching him and it made him cover his face more.
Nature's melody and harmony that would soothe my emotions.
It's slow pitter-patter eludes how my heart skip its beat every time a memory of you always come in mind
Jaejoong was eating his breakfast while watching television but he notice the rain from the window, he frowned.
"I know that you love the rain so much but please bring an umbrella so you won't get sick" his mother exclaimed
"I will mom", he smiled. He took one last bite on his food as he started to fix his things but he suddenly remembered something. "Mom, today is your business trip right?"
"Yes! So make sure you'll lock the house when you leave for school" she said making Jaejoong nod and left the house.
Jaejoong is walking his way to his school using the umbrella that Yoochun gave him. He reached out his hand as rain dropping on his palm then after a few minutes he made a fist. Sighing.
'I honestly didn't want the rain to come' he thought.
Another sigh came out from Jaejoong's mouth when he came inside the school building.
"Jaejoong". Junsu suddenly tap his shoulder making him back away a little. "When will you ever stop that?"
Junsu stick his tongue out, "That's not gonna happen you know”. He said happily
“I know that already but how I wish you’ll stop doing that just for a week”, Jaejoong said but it only made Junsu laugh until they came to their classroom.
Junsu suddenly went where Changmin is to tell him something while Jaejoong sat on his chair, looking outside as the rain still continues to pour down.
Yunho came inside and starts to take attendance.
Jaejoong noticed the school gate is closing and no sight of Yoochun’s red umbrella anywhere. He turn around to look to Yoochun’s seat as he starts to get a little worried but he let it go.
It’s been one week ever since Yoochun didn’t come to school. Jaejoong was staring to Yoochun’s seat for quite a while until Changmin snap his fingers and it made Jaejoong startled.
"Hm.." that's all Jaejoong said but still in dazed making Changmin sigh as he lean his back on the chair. "If you're that worried to Yoochun why don't you ask Yunho the cause of his absence?"
Jaejoong tried to deny it "Who says I'm worried about him? Thanks to Mr. Sunshine's absence the rain is here and that makes me really grateful", "We all know that you're terrible at lying Jaejoong." Junsu butts in as he looked seriously at him as well as Changmin.
Jaejoong stood up from his chair as he scoffed. "Fine! I'll ask Yunho"
He left the classroom without even looking back to Junsu and Changmin as he went straight to the faculty room to get over with. When he came, he saw Yunho arranging some paper works on his desk until he notice him.
"Jaejoong, what are you doing here?"
Jaejoong went closer and asked "Well... um... I want to ask if something happen to Yoochun?"
Yunho hissed and look at Yoochun's profile on his desk. "Actually I don't really know why is Yoochun been absent for a week now. I tried to contact his parents but they're living overseas and the address he gave me was wrong"
"Wrong?" Jaejoong was confused. "What do you mean wrong?"
"Well I went to find the address that Yoochun gave me but some neighbor told me that he's not living there anymore. They said he moved like a week ago" Yunho explained, "So I don't have any idea where the hell he is?"
Jaejoong was shaking after hearing that but he bowed and left. He was walking to the hallway until he stops to look outside and saw the rain pouring down.
Suddenly he decided to go somewhere, he went to the stairs to go up and saw a sign at the top of the door 'roof top'. He tried to open it but it was lock.
Jaejoong didn't give up, so he backs away a little and starts to run on the door twice until it opens. He fell down on the floor making his clothes wet from the rain and water puddle.
He tried to stand up but kneel down instead and he shouted "AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"
Jaejoong started to cry. "Why did you leave? Where are you now?" the questions that can't be answered. He looks up, feeling the rain crying alongside with him.
The next day, Jaejoong came out from the bus. He used the umbrella that Yoochun gave him as he’s walking to school but after a while, the rains starts to slow down.
Jaejoong stops walking as he noticed it, putting his hand out to feel the rain but there’s isn’t any droplets. He moved his umbrella a little and he closed his eyes when the sunlight hit his eyes. He suddenly looks around to see if Yoochun is around but he's nowhere to be seen until he starts running his way to school.
Jaejoong came to his classroom, breathing heavily as he hold the side of the wall for support from running until he notice someone familiar looking happily outside. Without any hesitation Jaejoong went inside to be close to him.
Yoochun heard some footsteps, he turnaround and saw Jaejoong. He smiled "Hey! Jaejoong"
"Don't hey me you asshole" Jaejoong complained making Yoochun surprised. "Don't you know how worried I was ever since you stop coming to school. Yunho tried to contact you but your parents are living overseas so he tried going to your place but he said some neighbor told him that you moved"
He added, he didn't know that his tears started to fall down.
Yoochun blink many times until a smile curved on his face. "I was absent for a week because I took care of my little brother and because our parents aren’t here that’s why I decided to moved out from my own place to live with him", he explained as he cupped Jaejoong's cheeks and wipe his tears using both of his thumb.
"Sorry that I made you worry" he whispered as he lean closer and kissed Jaejoong's forehead.
Jaejoong suddenly hug him. "Don't leave again. It makes me lonely"
"But I thought you hate me for making your rain disappear?" Yoochun muttered then Jaejoong looks at him straight to his eyes. "I think I'm starting to love Sunshine because of you"
Yoochun noticed the way Jaejoong blushed and it made him blush as well. He suddenly kisses him making Jaejoong startled but he kiss back.
When they parted both of them look at each other. "I love you" they said in unison as they started to laugh and notice how bright the sun is.
Forever signaling the beat, the tone, the flow
That we might match it,
Simply match the mood in us and move into a brighter sunshine

A/N: So what do you guys think O.o And about the poem verses *O* I got a little help from my classmates when I started to write this but I think we can be a great poet writers than painters ^^ Hehe! Just kidding ^O^ And as you can see the picture I used is just a small relation to this oneshot ^~^ I didn't make a poster because I need to reinstall my Adobe CS5 collection because my other hard drive got crashed >.< The good thing is all of the videos I have are saved on my portable hard drive ^^
