Drama Review Spring Season '12 (1)
Hello hello! I've always wanted and tried to do this but sadly i never end watching dramas on time XD This time i developed the 'goodnite' dramas method xD Study all day and after dinner go to bed and watch dramas (i hv dinner around 9pm so the study time is...big @.@ xD)
I'm currently watching: Kagi no Kakatta Heya, Legal High, Mirai Nikki, Ataru, Mikeneko Holmes no Suiri, Kazoku no Uta, Toshi Densetsu no Onna, Papa wa Idol and Tsumi to Batsu.
Planning to watch: Answer, W no Higeki, Mou Ichido Kimi ni Propose, Suitei Yuuzai
Won't ever watch: 37 sai de isha ni natta boku, Cleopatra na Onnatachi -> because i dont like hospital/surgery themes and the first one also because i dont like the lead xD.
- Kagi no Kakatta Heya - Fuji Monday 9pm.
Cast: Ohno Satoshi, Toda Erika, Sato Koichi.

I...totally fell for this drama, i really liked, settings are good, lighting is good as well, cast is flawless. The first time i've watched first episode, i thought my file was bad because had some abrupt cuts, then, well you learn that a Director's choice, and give it a movie feeling along with the music, which btw in the first episode was a bit too loud, but in the following ones they've corrected it. We could think since is about solving locked rooms case it'd be too episodic, but actually it is not too episodic, first they needed help from Enomoto Kei (Ohno Satoshi) to solve a locked room case, then an old pal from Enomoto needs help so he asks Serizawa and Aoto for help, and in the following 2 episodes, in one Serizawa needs help and in the last one broadcasted Aoto's apartment leads to a new case. While we have these cases, the relationship of these 3 keep developing, actually you can see how Aoto interaction with Serizawa changes in no time, as well as is different from the one with Enomoto. Serizawa character could develop a little more maybe, but for now, this dandy only interested on himself and pretty women, seems to get carried away trying to help to solve the case. Enomoto, a quite weird man obssessed with locks and pretty cold, seems to start having a little bit of emotions. If one of these three doesn't appear much on a episode, actually you will miss him/her. Script are good as well, only a bit confusing ep 3, maybe because i dont know anything about shogi.
I really really recommend this drama, will talk more about it in the following weeks.
- Legal High - Fuji Tuesday 9pm
Cast: Sakai Masato, Aragaki Yui

When this drama was announced i totally wanted to watch it, Sakai Masato! Such awesome actor!! Gakki is pretty okay to me, so i was all for it. But then i watched the trailer and it really put me off, i dunno, it wasn't what i expected, it looked like a cheap comedy.. but still, i decided to watch it last week, i laughed my ass off, really, Sakai-san such such great man, i couldn't stop laughing. The drama is interesting but i think they fail a lot on the previews, once i finish a episode and see preview for next one, i dont feel like 'wow i wanna watch', then i watch a few days later and actually it's quite enjoyable. For now is quite episodic, let's see but i think i will watch it till the end :D
- Papa wa Idol - TBS Thurs 9pm
Cast: Nishikido Ryo, Yuka.

Hmm i like Ryo usually, and he's doing good his role here, but the drama is cheap, it's not too bad, i didnt think "oh i wont watch anymore" but nothing either made me wanna keep watching. As always i have low tolerance to K8 all together, and the manager gets on my nerves too, oh and the eldest 'daughter' too, i kinda want to kick her out of the house. So i might watch another episode to check, but for now i prefer checking others.
- Toshi Densetsu no Onna - Asahi Fri 23.15
Cast: Nagasawa Masami, Mizobata Jumpei, Takenaka Naoto

I still plan to watch more, but been checking other dramas (and rewatching KagiHeya...orz xD), the drama is okay, Masami looks really pretty and is usually showing her legs a lot so actually people don't think she looks like a detective, but this way also men usually nicer to her. I dont have anything bad to say for now, but nothing good to say either, it's just an average drama to me for now.
- Mikeneko Holmes no Suiri - NTV Sat 9pm
Cast: Aiba Masaki, Fujiki Naohito, Oomasa Aya

Well...i was editing episode 1, to found how horrible Becky was acting, and she was appearing a lot so i decided not to watch, episode 2 people very disappointed with the script, actually this drama is an adaptation of a japanese bestseller in 60's, a scriptwriter called Omiya was in charge of this, but claimed that the novel was too hard to understand for her so haven't read it. This leads to horrible script, and NTV decided to take over the script for episode 3 and 4. So i decided to watch episode 3, is it me or is like a japanese Scooby Doo? Aiba would be Shaggy of course xD Anyway, the acting in general is horrible xD. Even the guests for the episode looked like docu-drama tv actors...i didnt want to keep watching but sadly, the drama ended on a cliff-hanger X'D
- Mirai Nikki - Fuji Sat 11pm
Cast: Okada Masaki,Gouriki Ayame, Hongo Kanata.
Episodes watched: 1/3
Short episodes so very easy to watch, first time i see a drama from this guy, but can't say anything bad caz actually they spend most of the time fighting, oh yes there was the usual drama scene when u leave ur back defenceless to see if ur partner is okay... but well i'll keep watching, maybe even till the end ^^
- Kazoku no Uta - Fuji Sun 9pm
Cast: Odagiri Joe, Kanjiya Shihori
Episodes watched: 1/4
Honestly i started watching caz i couldn't believe how low ratings this drama was getting, maybe most of its fault was because it was said it was plagiarism from a jdrama on the 80's. They changed a few things, although the topic was nothing too surreal to call it plagiarism...Anyway, is not that bad! Okay Odagiri looks good in this rockish style, and it tells the story on how someone going from super popular rock band, goes to having to do a collabo duo with KyariPamyuPamyu. I didnt like the style of the beggining, how the scnes were shown, but then it was pretty okay. The kids are cute, and i might keep watching since wanna see the interaction of Odagiri with the kids. Definitely is not that bad to have such ratings (*6.1__*3.6__*3.4__*3.1__)
- ATARU - TBS Sun 9pm
Cast: Nakai Masahiro, Kuriyama Chiaki,Kitamura Kazuki

Big disappointment on this drama, people kept saying oh how good, oh how nice, but it wasn't till the second half of first epi when i thought that the drama is 'watchable'. First scenes gets on my nerves, and how Maiko treats Ataru for most of the epi is really wth, talking to him for a bit or just watching him, you know something is going on with him. Nakai's performance is not bad but not outstanding either. By the second half it gets better, but still the case was kinda predictable.

Cast: Kora Kengo, Mizukawa Asami

WOWOW has been doing such awesome dramas lately, usually quite dark, but i like this kind of drama. This one is really dark as well, and it was good, i haven't seen Mizukawa Asami in epi 1, but i think she appears later, if you like dark dramas, you should watch it :D
As for american drama i've been following Once upon a time, and im pretty sad caz its first season is ending T_T It's pretty awesome and i love how the stories are connected with each other *O*. For korean drama..i'm watching Rooftop Prince, i like how the both eras were mixed, at first i didnt want to watch, because there was the JYJ guy (have banned TVXQ and its new groups after they split, after i watch fancam of how one of them kicks a fan on the head), and well he looked kinda old and weird at first, but then i became used to him and he looks ok to me now xD his acting is good and one of the guys from the rooftop prince is cute, the story is interesting, but as always we have the usual cliche of kdrama which is someone is dying x'D.
