Work Schedule
I now have the best work schedule EVER. Well, close to it. ;) I am not paid hourly, so I am expected to put in a lot of overtime that I never get paid for. So, a normal 40-hour work week becomes more like 50+ very easily. Intel has a habit of burning out people.
Anyway, some of the techs in my group asked if I would approach management about switching them to a compressed work week (4 days on, 3 days off, then 3 days on, 4 days off, 13 hour days). I did so...and after a few weeks of my submitting proposals, it worked! Except for one of the techs, who is about to have a baby and prefers normal shifts. Oh no...but if one tech doesn't want to do it, the shifts would be unbalanced...so they are letting ME work a compressed work week!!! WOOOOOTTT! 4 day weekends!!!! Bwahahaha!!
So now I work Thursday - Saturday 11am to midnight. In a few weeks we will get a lot busier, then I will work every other Wednesday as well. Not bad...Kris works Wed-Sat too (but graveyard) so we now have the same days off.
I don't know how long they'll let me work this shift, but I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts!
