Very, very sweet. I like that Harry and Thomas get to have a decent Christmas with their family, even if it is partially celluloid.

:: Smiles, blushes, pleased:: I got the idea as I was rereading "It's My Birthday, Too", and I was thinking Thomas would find a way to make it up to Harry for the present that got lost in the commotion. I wasn't sure what he'd come up with, but the home movies popped into my head as I was writing the fic.

Another good addition. Hmm, Thomas's nephew in Tokyo. Is that a YnM reference I see before me?

:: Narrows eyes conspiratorially, smirks:: I was hoping someone got that reference. I kind of threw that in there after I'd joked about Muraki being a White Court vampire (and after I was tossing around an idea for a TDF/YnM crossover). Originally, Thomas's line was going to be "my cousin in Tokyo", but then I thought it would be more eyebrow-raising this way, especially since the not so good doctor is about the same age as Thomas, maybe a little younger.

What can I say? I guess I just know how your mind works (possibly because my own works along similar lines). By the by, I spotted you on tvtropes.org. Offering his evileness Twilight fangirls as tokens of your affection indeed. *smirk*

:: Smiles:: Thanks! I like how family is important to both Harry and Thomas, no matter how odd or how distant that family may be.

Awwwww! This nearly made my squee-meter explode! And I think you interwove show and book very well. Like you, I love them both; I found the show first, it inspired me to find the books. This fic is so sweet!

:: Blushes:: Thanks! I'm always a little hesitant in combining the two continuities, and I tend to default to book continuity where the TV continuity disagrees, but for me some of the things in the TV series just worked better or as good as some things in the books (eg. Justin being Harry's uncle, or half-uncle as I resolved it; Bob having a full-body physical form; Harry's apartment being part of/on top of his office) and I enjoy telling stories which blend these things.

I consider Bob to be the single greatest triumph of the show over the books. I've come to enjoy and even like Bob the Skull from the books, but I still prefer Bob as ghost-wizard. I just think it's more interesting. I wish the show had lasted long enough for Thomas to come on the scene; I would have loved to see that!

That was beautiful. Not my vision at all, which makes it even better! I like how you merge your favorite bits of the books and the series!

thank you.
