Boston Flower Show, 2015

Back from the Boston Flower Show (after the things mentioned in a recent, locked entry, matters gradually improved, thank heavens), very tired but had a blast. I filmed a fifteen-minute walk through the gardens and added it to a playlist of other vids that I filmed earlier this week (wanted to post that sooner, but my mind got hijacked by unwanted emotions that made it hard to write that post).

Had to literally clear everything off the Kindle in order to fit all the videos on: as of right now, I have only one book left on there and a number of photos I didn't feel ready to remove, even if they are stored on the Cloud Drive. I'll reupload things tomorrow when I can get to a fast wifi spot (possibly at the Starbucks in Wilmington, after my dental appointment).

Things that didn't get filmed:

-Ants in a hollow log in the Mass. Horticultural Society's garden. My dad was looking around their garden and noticed ants scurrying about among the pine needle mulch near the log that formed part of the display. Kidding the guy who'd designed it, he asked, "Did you plan those ants?" Said the gent, "Oh yes!". Seems the ants had woken up when the log got brought into the nice, warm trade center hall and had started going about their business like they'd woken up in a nice spring forest.

-All the trade booths: seemed to be more booths this year, since they had fewer gardens than usual, due to people not making it to the show after this long winter, thus they had space to make up. Got some glazed nuts for my dad's Easter basket, also a very nice and roomy clip on cellphone pouch that fits the Kindle like the proverbial glove.

-Also the flower arrangement competition, since I somehow forgot to take a look see around them. And the mini-gardens in dioramas, which were cute: one looked like a backyard garden for a kid with a big imagination, the other looked like a cozy farm.

-And the botanical art competition because copyright, and I was up to challenging that today. Nice designs, though, with some resembling very old designs.

The weather also got wacky: spitting rain on the way into Boston, with the sun trying to peek through the clouds, then when we came out of the trade center, dad and I walked into a mini snow and wind storm. We're pretty sure that the snow depth record broke today, since the area needed only two inches to get there.
