Went to bed last night, with the land brown and sere and cold. Woke up this morning to find everything silver and white and snowy, with more snow coming down. At last! Winter looks like winter. I even snapped some shots of the scenery:

Went to work to get my hours: got a few more than I could handle after the week I just had, so I gently asked my boss for an extra day off: he let me have Monday off. I still need to get a new window shade after one of mine busted itself. So! going to Wal-Mart will be my order of business for Monday.
Usual Saturday stuff: cleaning, also vacuuming the corner where the Christmas tree was, preparatory to putting up the angel tree (which I hope to put up tomorrow or at the least, get a start on it). Also shoveled the desk and around the steps, since my dad would be snow-blowing the rest of the driveway.
Started listening to the audiobook version of Charlie Stross's "The Atrocity Archives", which I can best describe as "Chuck" meets the Cthulhu Mythos, with a little bit of James Bond and World of Darkness's Mage line mixed in for good measure.
