Clean bill of health

Physical exam today: headed out early (thankfully a bit warmer than it's been lately, so I didn't quite have to bundle up the way I have) on the bus to Lowell to get the bus to Burlington. Brought along Nyarlathotep the Kindle and did a little listening: Finished listening to "Tales from the TARDIS" - a collection of classic era Doctor Who audiobooks in one little bundle, also listened to parts of "Torchwood: Everyone Says Hello", since I'm somewhat canon-reviewing Jack Harkness, with a bid to app him at Boomtown (If I could find two brain cells together to tag the threads I have going there, let alone work on an app). Also more of Pete Rawlik's "The Weird Company", the second of his series of... well, Lovecraft mash-ups. He's managed to canon-weld "Shadows over Innsmouth", "The Thing on the Doorstep" and "At the Mountains of Madness" together (and I think the previous book did the same with "Herbert West: Reanimator" and "The Dunwich Horror" -- Much as I'm enjoying this one, I think I should be reading that one, as it combines my two favorite Aitch Pi El stories).

Managed to get into the doctor's office right on time: clean bill of health. I actually seem to have shot up a quarter of an inch: last time I was measured, which, if I remember, was back in my early 20s, I was told I was five foot six and three-quarter inches. I'd had to get that number rounded off when I went to get my ID, since the computer would take only whole numbers. So, for a while, I'd been five-foot seven only legally. Now I'm physically and medically five-seven. Weird.

Talked to her about my difficulties with one nostril getting clogged when my allergies get weird: she seems to think I might have a sinus polyp, but I'd have to see a specialist about that, which probably won't happen until the summer, since that's when the sinuses get really messed up.

Missed the next bus back to Lowell, so I walked up to the Burlington Mall to take a look see around. Nice to be there when the crowds have gone down.

Came back to town, picked up my paycheck and took a walk up to the pet store to get some moulting food for Flurry the budgie, since he seems to have started his fall moult a bit late.

Still taking care of household stuff for my mother, since she's nursing a cold: please pray I don't get it, I'd like to stay cold-free for a while this time, but I worry that the extra stuff lately will make that hard to achieve.
