Staying inside where it's warm
Bitterly cold last night (Wednesday night): I even double-covered the birds to keep them cozy, also piled an extra blanket on my bed and put some extra stuffed animals under my covers: they act pretty much like hot water bottles of a kind; once the bed warms up from my body heat, they hold some of the heat.
Thus, I ended up staying indoors today; I'd planned to go out and get my paycheck from last week, but decided to hold off until tomorrow (Friday). Took a warm bath, also took care of my laundry and some cleaning and bringing up a few more Christmas presents to tuck under my own tree.
Also got an interesting phone call from the town library: seems I won a prize for taking part in last year's 50 Books Challenge, though what it might be, they're keeping a surprise till I go to pick it up. Might be going in fairly soon, since they just posted this year's 50 Books Challenge sheets, and it looks like they're mixing things up quite a bit, with a list of several different themes of books to inspire your choices.
RP tags tonight, I pretty much cleaned out Muraki's inbox for once, hopefully I'll have the brains to catch up on his headmate tomorrow during the day, unless I get sidetracked by errands.
