I've tried to keep up with this journal as much as possible, so that the days don't start running together. Only trouble is, I've been so busy and therefore brain dead at the end of the day that when I do set out to post an entry, I realize I have to write about several days.
Tuesday: Work, to the tune of a five hour shift. Cloudy and gray that day, like a typical day at this unsettled time of the year. I meant to make another donation to the food pantry, but forgot to bring the money for it when I went to work, so went out in the evening with my dad, who had to pick up a few things at the store.
Came home, took a bath and... when I got out of the tub and went to rinse it out, only air came out of the tap. As my dad found out, the water main on our street had broken (Again. Maybe the fifth time in as many years.). Had to go to bed early, because I had an early shift the next morning and... had trouble getting to sleep, because of the earthmovers digging around in our street and shaking the house. Ended up curling up with "A Feast for Crows" and finished reading it, waiting for either the road/water department crew finish up or for me to get tired and drop off to sleep. I actually got sleepy before the crew packed in for the night.
Today/Wednesday: Work again, with a six hour shift today. And the water had not yet come back on by the time I got up and started going about my morning routine.
Got back to reading "A Dance With Dragons" and I'm getting well toward the end (been working toward finishing these the better to chip away at the pile of half-read books).
