As you may or may not know, I am on a life-long burger quest. What for? I don't know...but you gotta love them burgers! Especially the cheeseburgers :-) So...where is this burger thing going? Well...
Yesterday we went to Las Olas beach to hang out and check out the Beach Place and walk around in different stores. Well, Cheeburger Cheeburger happened to be there and my brother knowingly rolled his eyes and said "well, I think I can guess where we're having dinner." Yup. I figure a milestone in my burger quest would be to get my picture on their wall which can only be accomplished by eating their 20oz behemoth. The challenge was on...
Well-done with lettuce, mayo, and American cheese draped over its mouth-watering self. Just the way I like it! Our meal finally arrived and with one look at the burger, my sister and brother both went "you won't be able to finish that!" A silent giggle sounded in my mind as I picked up the burger. Jason wanted to get before/after pictures so he snapped a quick one before I decided it would be a good idea to cut it in half so I'm not shoving this huge thing down one bite at a time. I scarfed the first half and began eying the second. After a quick internal check of how much cargo can my belly withstand, I picked up the second half and ate my way to victory. Through the doubts, through the gasps of shock and awe, I ate my last bite and sat back with a content look upon my face. Jason snapped another picture of the empty basket.
I realized I still had some room so I idly munched on some french fries while I eagerly soaked in my time in the lime light. Our waiter came around, looked at me with a "someone as small as you did it?" expression and grabbed the camera and the giant burger statue to pose with. I gave the burger a longing look and caressed it as the picture was taken. I wrote my own funny caption then looked around and noticed that they had 3 sections of pictures. I saw many were group pictures and the waiter said that those were cheaters who split it. Anywho, there was a general collage of random people, a section for "babes with burgers" and across the way I saw my picture's destiny: The swimmer section. Yes. I guess we are known for our voracious appetites! My picture took its rightful place.
We walk out and my brother starts complaining how his stomach was bothering him and he felt really full* (*side-note: he had the half-pounder). I laughed and he asked how i was doing. Actually, I felt great! He said he felt like a whale and I thought about it. What would that make me? I don't think I want to know. Sorry Sarah, you're going to have a fat boyfriend. Ok, Just kidding...but really...I gotta work this off now :-P
In other news, I don't care what anyone else says to this. I miss Sarah so incredibly much. I love you hunny. We're halfway. The 4th of July is going to be amazing...
