Snow + Ara = stupid
So yesterday, like most of my f-list, I woke up to crispy snow covering everything. By 7:30 am I was bundled up warmly in boots, jeans, a tank top, and a sweatjacket happily heading outside to dig out the 'rents cars. After 2 hours, I have most of the two cars dug out, plus helped dig out 2 neighbors' vehicles, and dug one neighbor INTO his spot:)
At noon, I wandered back out for another two hours of digging, this time finishing the 'rents cars and digging out the neighbors on the other side (they gave me hot chocolate for helping them!) and clearing off the two parking spots for yet another neighbor.
And at 3 I found myself back outside, armed with my trusty snow shovel, helping random stranger dig out his vehicle along the side of the road and then crossing the street to help an elderly man dig out his driveway. I wanted to start digging out the crossing guard's post that sits on my corner, (having been a crossing guard I know how much it sucks to not only have to stand outside in substandard gear but also to struggle to climb over the mountain of plow-driven snow to get to the street. Because, of course, where there's a crosswalk, there's no cars to prevent the plow from using it as a deposit zone,) but it was already 5pm and my body was starting to realize that I don't excercise. So I stopped. And spent most of the remaining awake time prodding my very sore palms and making The Boy open the soda bottle because I couldn't.
4am came wayyyyyy too early this morning. The Body Electric? no, The Body Rebellious. I was sore. And I must say, feeling nauseous was pretty bad, but trust me, when your entire body is one sore muscle projectile vomiting is torture.
But that *happily* came after my 9 hours at work where I got to lift boxes, reach up to do markdowns and complete shipment.
I'm hoping I feel better before tomorrow.
