i've been waaay too busy to get around to updating this journal for quite a few days. Practicing 2 hours every other day for the karate test. studying for the karate written test. researching info for the karate research paper.... finding a switch to repair the whole house vacuum cleaner... caring for my sick dog....
had to put poor Rian to sleep on Monday. awful day. got up at 5 so i could leave the house at 6 and drive him to the vet. poor love could hardly stand, and was rasping on every breath. could get any significant food down him for a couple days... just awful. he could barely get enough air to take a drink... antibiotics hadn't helped and the vet felt it was probably viral... temp of 106 even with antibiotics and baby asprin... and the air temp had been in the 90s and muggy... put him down... God, I miss him... no 'song' when i come home... no one to walk the field with... no one to greet me...
Wolfhounds are the sweetest dogs and the easiest to train... but they don't live long, even with the best of care. average is around 6-7 years. Ri was just over 8 years. damn... damn... damn
