Yeah, it totally makes me think now:wait a sec, it is not about our convenience. It is the industry that produces it and it has influence because I bet it has to do with the stock in the oil companies because plastic is a by-product of oil. So they put it everywhere and of course the cost is added to the product. It is assumed it is free but they can claim it is but still include the cost in the cost of the product.

Actually it's not been that long ago already that the resusable nets for fruits and vegetables appeared. It really made me become interested because - well, a piece of plastic gone from your personal food chain, it sure is for the better

Ich habe ja zu Beginn meines Berufslebens ja in der chemischen Industrie gearbeitet, zwar habe ich die Gehaltsabrechnung programmiert, aber der Chemieriese hat damals natürlich auch schon Binnenwerbung betrieben. Etwas weniger aufdringlich als heutzutage, aber immerhin.
Dort wurde auf die Recyclingmöglichkeiten von Plastik hingewiesen und daß es als Resteverwertung in der chemischen Industrie ökologischer sei als Baumwolle, die viel Wasser braucht und Fläche, die man ansonsten für die Produktion von Nahrungsmitteln verwenden könnte.
Die Idee von Netzen finde ich gut - was mich beim Einkauf aber ehrlich gesagt anscheißt sind die Omis, die jede einzelne Erdbeere oder sonst welche Rohkost erst einmal betatschen (eine hat sogar erst einmal jede Salami gequetscht) - da kaufe ich inzwischen nur noch auf dem Markt. Und in Supermärkten nur das Omisicher abgepackte Zeugs, wenn es sich nicht vermeiden läßt
