Yes, it is interesting that youngsters at least visually are caring more about their future than the owners of industries as gas, oil, plastic, wood, ships, space... you could try to finish this list but you actually are right - nearly all human activity is harmful for our ecology. But anyway I like this new movement as a subject of studding teaching more about our planet. I think it is better than whole bunch of humans around the world marching happily for transgender, drug legalization and other modern shit like this.
I do believe that youngsters singing for saving our planet more possibly will be happy to make modern new trend if minimalism, selfself-responsibility and will by one trousers, car, phone tomorrow.

I think the possibility of development of a minimalism movement I already heard somewhere.

But, as far as my imagination goes, I'd thought it more probably will come from some adults being sick and overstressed by all this fast modern way of life of the 21st century.

Why being sick, just a week ago one my lj USA friend was writing about as minimalist she is, later though she has written how she is going to become a millionaire as well but she is not sick that's for sure... ;)

Well, this may be a perspective from German society that I speak.

Over here, people seem stressed and whipped by a lot of things they get urged or told to do.
Some complain about it openly, realizing it fucking up their mental balance, others don't notice, but are a hard bunch to ever have a 15 minutes conversation with or so, or they wonder all the time what's wrong with their lives that nothing succeeds or plays by their rules for once.
You know, people who just rush through live and have too many duties on their hands, but never realize the tempo they drive with through life.

Yeah, I think there is no point in those actions other than comforting themselves- I made my part, meanwhile they have zero effect. I remember some girl from Sweden or one of those paradises came to the Summit and made a statement: if you don't know how to fix it, stop it and some other cringy things as if they give a flying F or going to stop because some idiot asked them for they have profits and they don't give a F**k.

I think I know which girl you're talking about...

Thing in my thinking is: Well, how old is she? 16? Show me kids which are still the same way energetically interested in one subject just when they turn 18, let alone 25...
It changes very much and can even change quickly.

Were there kids to run on rallies against the Iraq war back then? Sure there were. And where are we now in this matter?
The result's obvious how much it helped. Even in the case of the adults which ran on those rallies.
