Oh i read an article that new born children in us, more than 40% are in poverty. Because family has two for example so number is greater than for adults, also read about guy in NY who works 40 hours a week and homeless. Also about college tuition that in 18 years are going to be like half a million. But the propaganda there is the best though. That's why everyone is so crazy about the place. Land of free, yeah right.

I would think the greatest problem in this is: Americans lack an ability or common understanding to sit back and watch the whole thing from the perspective of a bird for a second ( ... )

German engineering for sure in the form of economic theory. You do not even need to do anything you need to understand it. It is an objective process just like feudalism changed into capitalism. All you need is to understand. That's why I was so glad because on reddit probably 50% are Americans and then people from all over the world and they understand it perfectly. The bad part it is just a small fraction of the population, the good part they exist and there are more of them than you think.

..."More of them than you think"?
I always have the impression like I only run into those ones sticking with old myths. Like living under the star-sprinkled sky, homeless, but claiming they're free.
Or maybe I'm way to critical (but which also doesn't need to be bad).

I though so too but was pleasantly surprised. Although the ones you described are the majority, probably.

With my "fellow" Germans, I've always got the impression like things are lost on them. But also just because of narrowmindedness. Too much staying on level 1 or 2, instead of making jumps to level 3 or 4, for example.

We are probably too critical, there are people like that, but there are others too.

I won't say "not able to understand things", but often I have the impression like people are so caught up in their narrow worlds - you have your hard time getting them out of it and getting them to think a little step further. Also, they're so caught up in existing terms and putting ideas, attitudes and people into these known drawers, they're like literally blind to understand, first, there are more categories than popular culture propagates, and, second, they've got way more different features summoned in them than what they current categories offer them to sort in.
Literally... it would need for zeitgeist mindset that someone or some group appears on the screen again which turns all these images of what exists upside down, so that people get back again to a dimension of thinking... more "dynamically", as I call it.
