Amanda smiled in contentment as she leant against the cool stone of the balcony. The bright blue of the scorching hot day was finally darkening to dusk. A cool breeze brushed against her skin bearing with it the heady scent of roses. The pale white blooms gleamed ghost like against the gathering gloom in the garden laid out below her.
She felt rather than heard Sarek approaching from behind. She cast a glance over her shoulder but his tall frame was a mere shadow against the darkening chamber.
“Good evening adun'a” Sarek's voice purred silkily against her ear as he pulled her back against his tall frame.
“You are early.” She sighed happily as she rested her head against his chest. His arms enfolding her always made her feel secure, cherished. These moments had become more precious to her since their trip to Babel.
Sarek had always seemed so strong to her, she had never imagined him as frail,or even ill. His sudden heart attack had shook her to the core. Although, intellectually she knew that neither of them were getting any younger, it had come as a great shock to realise just how close she had come to losing him.
I will always be with thee k'diwa
The touch of his mind brushing against hers was far more intimate than a kiss. It thrummed through her caressing, tender. Vulcans may claim to be a race ruled by logic but Sarek's mind never lied to her. A simple “I Love You” paled in comparison to his touch through their bond. Her human friends and family could not truly understand, they had to rely on the tenuous ability of words to express their feelings for one another.
Amanda reached a hand up to caress his cheek. Her fingers brushed his ears instead. She heard the hitch in his breath, as that light touch ignited a flare of desire that rushed through Sarek with the speed of a ship at warp. A half smile tugged at her lips as she turned in his arms.
“It's a little soon,” she said as she drew his head down for a kiss. If her calculation was right, about a year too soon. Had his illness altered the cycle? Sarek certainly didn't seem concerned, however she wasn't sure if that meant there was no reason to be. Or had it already affected his ability to think?
“No, I believe my timing is excellent.” Sarek countered, as his lips came down to claim hers passionately. She moaned softly, pressing herself against him. The reply she had been about to make flew out of her head as liquid heat coursed through her.
Even through his clothing, the feel of her frame moulding herself to him fanned the flames to a blaze of desire. Need consumed him, all logical thought burning away to ashes. Sarek no longer cared that they were still framed on the balcony, clearly visible to anybody passing by the window of their hotel room. His whole being was centred on Amanda. The touch of their lips, the taste of her. The feel of her mind within his as she writhed against him.
With a growl that was reminiscent of a large jungle cat, Sarek' s caressed down her side. His hand grabbed the hem of her dress and began to slide it up her legs. A cool breeze brushed against her thighs restoring Amanda to some semblance of sanity.
“Sarek, we're in public!” Amanda hissed as she suddenly remembered their exact location. Their room, although it overlooked the garden, was also too close to the main thoroughfare for comfort. She had never been an exhibitionist and was not so far gone in passion to be oblivious as Sarek.
“Indeed.” he agreed, as if the matter didn't concerned him at all.
“Can we at least close the curtains.” she breathed as his mouth shifted, doing interesting things to her neck that sent electric shivers rippling down her spine. She clung to him as her knees threatened to give way on her.
Amanda knew that, as his mate, she was supposed to control his passion. However she found it difficult to muster the concentration, when all her own inner desires wanted nothing more than to allow him to sweep her away on a tide of passion.
“We could,” Sarek said as he swept her into his arms. Amanda gasped, she could never get used to the way he lifted her as easily as she would a child. In spite of his obvious strength she had never feared he would hurt her, no matter how aroused he became.
“Sarek, close the curtains.” Amanda did her best to reinforce her words with her will.
Sarek snarled with frustration but did as she commanded. His yanking on them, still holding her, almost ripped them from the rail. As he bore her to the bed, Amanda hoped that the maid service would be discreet. Somehow, she doubted that Sarek would have the patience to affix the “Do Not Disturb” notice to the hotel room door.
