Ancient and Brand New Fibulas

I'll be attempting to duplicate the markings on the one in the front.
This is my first attempt, without the decorative work yet, just the basic shape. I'm liking it. I like the simple shape. It is effective and will hold even a heavy wool item well.
I have a few more designs to play with, and now I've got enough copper to do them with.
